About

Aengus Kirakowski is a classical guitarist and teacher based in Cork City, Ireland.

Since completing studies at the Cork School of Music with distinction, Aengus has played in numerous prestigious venues and events.

These include:

The RDS, Dublin - as part of The Rising Stars Programme;
National Concert Hall - many times, with the Irish Guitar Quartet;
Musgrave Park, Cork - alongside renowned vocal quartet Il Divo;
… and festivals such as Cork Jazz and Clonakilty Guitar Fest.

In 2015, Aengus was credited with an MA degree (UCC) for his research into new trends in music education and technology, and has presented the findings to both the International Society for Music Education (ISME) and the Society for Music Education in Ireland (SMEI).

With 12 years experience in live performance, Aengus will provide your event with a distinctive atmosphere made up of warm Spanish music, vibrant South American pieces, and lively Irish melodies.

As part of a network of musicians, Aengus can also provide duo performances with instruments such as Violin, Cello, Saxophone, Harp and Voice.
