Had a deep clean done by 5 star cleaning. Very professional and pleasant to deal with, Sharon was great in arranging the clean and the two ladies that came were very nice and left the house looking great. Would book again and recommend

I booked a deep clean for my apartment and was not happy with the clean. The tiles I had asked to be cleaned in the kitchen and bathroom were not cleaned properly and an excuse was given about grease ingrained etc. I had booked two cleaners for 3 hours each and the owner Sharon came on her own to clean the Apt for 6 hours. A nicr lady but obviously not used to deep cleans. The two cleaners rang in sick. I was better off waiting till the usual cleaners could make it as was a complete waste of money the clean that was done. Myself and my partner spent numerous hours scrubbing the whole apartment ourselves to get it cleaned right. The tiles were cleaned thoroughly and the grease came off with a bit of elbow grease. Dear Valarie, I would like to respond to your comments with my perspective on the situation and a couple of avenues of action that you could have explored with me on the day. In a situation where the cleaning team are unable to make the clean we generally notify the client and arrange another day. In this specific situation you made it very clear to me that you could not accommodate another day as you were showing the house at the weekend. Rather than cancel your clean, I decided to step in and honour our commitment to the date we agreed. I was aware of your situation and the fact you had an important viewing at the weekend, our policy at 5 star cleaning is to always be helpful and flexible where possible with our customers. I explained this to you and you said you ‘were very grateful for me stepping in to help’ when we spoke that morning on the phone. When I arrived at the property I noticed 2 things first of all there was no electricity in the property, the kitchen and the bathroom were in complete darkness. The second is; you booked a ‘standard clean’ this was no means a standard clean, this was a ‘heavy clean’ with at least 15 years build up of grease in the wall tiles in the kitchen the appliances were really bad and needed to be replaced, the oven/cooker had very bad build up of thick black grease…also I noticed there was black mould all over the property, in the bathroom. None of this was described when you first made the booking. This would have required at least 3 cleaners, 9 hours cleaning, you booked ‘standard clean’ which is ‘6 hours cleaning’. With regards to the electricity, before I started the clean…I called you and discussed this with you and we agreed that given the situation with no electricity…I would do my best with the products; however the steam cleaning equipment did’nt work, due to the fact there was no electricity!! Steam cleaning is vital piece of equipment, when you have a grease build up on wall tiles.. where the clean is a ‘heavy duty clean’. Furthermore, there is usually an additional charge for ‘mould removal’ if you look this up on-line, it starts at minimum... 200e to for a mould removal company to just remove the mould from the property. However, I successfully removed the mould from the window cills in the sitting room and in the sliding door in the bedroom. I explained to you that mould embedded in grout is a specialist job in the bathroom tiles and you responded saying you just wanted the tiles cleaned and would be happy with that. You were not charged for this!! Furthermore, we are under no obligation as a company to work in an environment that is not suitable for cleaning - providing electricity and hot running water is the customers responsibility - that was not done on the day! However, despite the areas being in complete darkness, I did my best to clean them by hand with chemical solution and elbow grease, however the kitchen clearly hadn't been cleaned in 20years and the grease was very bad on the tiles which is why they needed 'steam cleaning'. I pointed this out to you and you’re response was 'don't worry about it' the people that buy the property are most likely going to rip out the kitchen anyway', that the current tenant had used an air fryer.. When I asked you what you would like to do, you respond saying ‘don’t worry about it’ most likely the people coming to purchase the property will rip out the kitchen anyway’ that was your response on the day! Eventually half way into the clean...you got the code for the electricity and apologised saying the ‘tenant was at fault’ for not giving it to you!? A the end of the clean…as is our policy I invited you to inspect the property and informed you if there is any area not done to your satisfaction, I would be happy to stay and re-do it. You spent time looking around the entire property and you pointed out a corner in the bathroom I had missed, so I re-did that area for you. You then said “that’s great I am very happy with everything” and you signed off on the on the checklist. So in conclusion Valarie, if you did have any issues with the clean, beyond what you pointed out in the bathroom, you certainly didn’t raise them with me on the day. There are avenues of recourse that we could have explored on the day, such as the morning of the viewing the wall tiles could have been steam cleaned again….... that would have been easy to organise. While we always do my best to accommodate our clients we view all feedback as helpful learning points, as to where we need to improve. I be revising our terms of service and going forward if the client does not provide electricity for the cleaning equipment to work, in the future, we won’t be proceeding with the clean. Very professional approach, little bits and pieces of work not 100%,so overall a bit pricey for finished product

We requested a deep clean of kitchen, sitting room, bathroom and porch for a family bereavement. Dealt with Sharon on the phone and we went through everything that needed to be done. I was emailed the list and approved it over the phone. 2 cleaners arrived today, half an hour late and the first thing they said was hope my car will not be clamped. Paid parking available right beside the house. My elderly mother said you won't be clamped but there is paid parking and if you get a ticket I will pay. Bad start straight away. I came to see if the ladies had finished at 1.30 and noticed alot yet to be done. I came back at 2pm and was dumb founded. The floor were dirty and looked like they hadn't been hoovered. The list is just endless. They broke a picture frame that was hanging on the wall and left it on the floor but forgot to mention they had broken it. The window in kitchen was still dirty not to mention the patio doors. They literally mopped around things without moving them. Dust everywhere, floors dirty, nothing moved to clean around, took the lazy way and supposedly mopped around them. Mats clearly visible with dirt on them. I was absolutely disgusted with this service. 1 lady said she would stay to touch up, but there was no point as it would not have been done properly. If they call what they did cleaning well I have no words. I paid them, and asked them to leave. I refused to sign off on the work as ot was not done. I took many pictures to prove this review. I rang Sharon straight away and even sent her pictures, but still no call back evebthough she was online an hour ago. I would jot recommend this company as they do not clean or do the job properly. 280 euro, total rip off for what. A job not done. The most hurtful thing was breaking the photo frame off the wall, leaving it on the floor beside the radiator with dirt on the floor. Do not use this company. Disasterous! Advise to avoid for house cleans. Supervisor assigned was Geraldine.Small 1 bed apt to clean - only 4 rooms to clean. (small living room cum kitchenette, small hall, small bedroom and bathroom). Hired for 6 hours. Told that living room and bathroom to be given priority. Only started living room 35 mins before end.

How is it possible to spend 5 hours on 3 rooms and only leave 35 mins to clean main room.

Cleaning when observed was acceptable. When not observed quality checked afterwards was not acceptable. Disasterous time managment by supervisor.

Assured by 5 Star that cleaners would be only have 1 job that day so could continue to pay to keep longer but turned out that cleaners were rushing off to another private job.

Also faulty equipment. 3 pin plug on vacuum cleaner was broken. Only 2 prongs. Took about 15 mins to get plug into a socket!!.

A good service! Managed to fit me in last minute too.

I have recently done end of tenancy deep cleaning services. Sharon was kind enough to give us slot on the next of my query. I am extremely happy with the services provided. Some of the stains which we tried to remove since long were removed and a lot of areas cleaned and tidied by the team. We used the services of 5 Star cleaning on a new house build recently and I was blown away by their excellent and professional work . I have used cleaning companies before for an after build clean and didn’t get an in depth clean as good as 5 Star , especially the window cleaning . Sharon was great to deal with. I was looking for a quote for deep cleaning and Sharon approached me and come to see the place before she gave me a quote. I got an email on getting 2 cleaners for a 2 bedrooms apartment for 6 hours for €216 standard clean only (after getting 10% discount of valentines deal).

I thought I was getting a deep clean given the price and conversation but it did say in the email it is standard clean so obviously i was a little bit disappointed. Just check before what you are getting.

Bath tub, oven, fridge, kitchen sink and skirting were quite clean but the floor in the bedrooms, the sink in the bathroom, internal door and the toilet were not very clean because I was told they (not sure one or 2 cleaners) spent one hour in the bath tub due to paint there.

2 cleaners were in the 2 bedrooms apartment for ended up roughly 4 hours each (girls were late at the begining) but couldnt get everything done with no furniture at all there. I am not sure is that me expecting too much or this is really the norm. More...
