BEWARE,DO NOT USE! This Guy is a completecon man and a scammer. He quoted 250 to remove a tree stump and 500 to remove stump and roots and we agreed 450. I explained that I needed the area clear to plant up once finished as it was in a flower bed and pointed out all the plants that were waiting on the deck to go in. He said he had a machine take out the stump and would take around 2 hours in total to remove stump and roots. He came back to do the job and 15 minutes later said he was finished. The tree stump was gone apart from a little bit which went under the fence to neighbours property which was fair enough. I asked if all the roots were gone and he said yes the main one had actually come out fairly easy. I paid him and when he was gone realised that not only was there was a large root still in the bed but that he had also smashed a very large glazed pot which cos over 100 euros that a big olive tree was in and hadn't even mentioned it. I rang him immediately within 5 minutes of him leaving. I asked about the root left in the ground. He said that "it went all the way to Australia " and would be too difficult to remove but would disintegrate in around 12 months. This was unacceptable as he had been paid to remove the root and knew that the reason for the job was so that I could plant in the area. I asked him about the pot and he acknowledged he had damaged it and said he would replace it. I sent him the website and details of the garden centre it had been bought in. Needless to say he did not and didn't respond to my text. Long story short he got paid for a job he didn't complete and damaged property in the process. Incidentally my husband managed to get the remaining large roots out with a crowbar and hatchet in around 30 minutes. Expensive mistake on my part. More...

Their is always a karen in all walks of life unfortunately.. i did what was asked of me i completed what was agreed. You pot was ordered and was collected this morning from the place you sent me... i haven't responded to you as quickly as you would of liked as im also caring for a cancer patient.. il be returning your pot you mentioned to the shop asap and getting my money back.. Glad to here you got sorted in the end 👍

I needed my back garden cleared out , paddy and his crew did a great job and I am delighted with the results. They turned my garden around in 3 days and it looks fab now , and it’s a space I can use to its maximum capacity. I will definitely be using Shackleton Home Maintenance again .
