How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
There are many factors involved when deciding if a Garage is suitable for conversion. A garage conversion is a great way to make the most of your existing space, but it does require careful thought and planning to make sure you maximise the opportunity and the value that it could add to your home. Some key factors: Are the foundations adequate, how old is the structure, is planning permission required from your local authority.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
A site visit is required by me the professional, I can then give accurate advice based on the existing garage. A design & 3D model is drafted up and discussions/revisions are made. Once you are happy with the design, planning permission may be required. If PP is not required, then we can move to the tendering process allowing contractors to bid for the job. Once the builder is chosen we can sign contracts and schedule dates. Scaled technical construction drawings are provided and all construction work is closly supervised by me.

I love the design and creativity side of Architecture! Each and every individual project poses different challenges and overcoming a challenge gives me great satisfaction.

Starting my own business gave me a world of freedom!
