Local tree care dublin

A friend had used local tree care through Bark and gave me Steve’s details . I have a small patio garden, about 8 ft sq. I wanted to get a single birch tree cut back and a small jasmine and bamboo hedge trimmed . Steve quoted me 350 euro including clearing of waste and I was busy at the time so didn’t look for other quotes and just wanted to get the work done quickly. On the day Steve arrived with another man , they immediately told me that the tree had a fungus so they would need to drill a treatment in , an additional 350 euro. I was on work calls all day so agreed. I also asked them to get rid of the weeds which they agreed to. They finished in less than a hour. When they were leaving I was only able to have a quick look from the kitchen , the tree was cut back and jasmine and bamboo were trimmed , although not very neatly . Later that evening when I finished work and went out to the garden I was horrified to see all of the cuttings from the bamboo and jasmine were just thrown on the ground and the weeds were all still there . I phoned Steve later that evening and he apologised and said they would come back remove the waste and get rid of the weeds as agreed . 2 weeks later I had heard nothing and I text Steve asking when they would be back , his response was to block my number For obvious reasons I would advise against using Steve and local tree care . What a bad experience with Tree Care Dublin.

We negotiated a price for 3 medium/small tree sculpting, lawn moving, deweeding spray, removal of shrubs from one corner and getting rid of the waste.

There were 2 individuals who came.
1 hour in, with 3 medium sized trees sculpted and corner shrubs cut (roots not removed), they asked me to pay in full, stating that the grass cannot be cut now due to unevenness and that they will come back after a month to cut the grass, deweed and removal of roots of the shrubs.

When I said I feel uncomfortable in paying beforehand as it is my first experience with their company and I will only pay for the work done until now, the personnel got argumentative and started asking for 80% or full amount stating the remaining work is not not worth more than 50 euros.

When questioned, the personnel became really angry and started uprooting the roots of the shrubs with bare hands in open display of displeasure.

Seeing the situation getting escalated, I just paid in full and let them leave.

They left with my patio dirty and also took my patio broom with them.

I just don’t care if they come back or not.

I really felt “insecure” and ripped off by them and cannot trust them to hand over my lawn or be around them due to the fit of anger shown.

Quality of work comes later, but atleast making the people secure who trusted you to let them enter their house should be the main goal of a person who offers services like garden management. More...
