*Poor Workmanship and Unprofessional Service*

I recently hired Donnelly Home Improvements to install four vents on my roof, but the job was completed to a very poor standard. Two vents were installed incorrectly: one was too close to the roof rafter, preventing the hose adapter from connecting, and the other had a batten in the way that wasn't cut. Despite multiple attempts to contact Stephen, the owner, I couldn't get him to return my calls.

It wasn't until my wife contacted him on a different phone that he responded. After explaining the issues to him, he accused us of harassment and rudeness, which is completely untrue. He refused to return to fix his substandard work, citing our alleged behaviour.
I paid him in cash, and I now realize I should have been more cautious.

Honestly one of the best decisions we made was hiring Stephen. He’s fixed our roof, sorted the gutters and even helped with a bit of internal plastering. All-round great tradesman.
