We had new patios laid, new grass laid and two new bedding areas created for planting. In addition, John added some badly needed drainage. John did a fantastic job on the front driveway and the sandstone in the back garden. He went above what was agreed and cleaned the side passage and the porch roof. Highly recommend.

We had John and his team of professionals do a front and back garden. Originally we asked for John to price a front fence and gate, but on the day I asked John to look at our back garden too. John and Joseph looked at the back garden John explained we would need proper draining and he was very knowledgeable about the process. We had a huge overhaul and construction of paving slabs completed by John and his team. Sleepers, drains, paving and gravel were added to a tired looking garden and it’s fantastic now . We then asked John to do our front garden, again drainage was a mess and John with his team lifted all the old cobblestones and added drains , new built wall with granite , two pillars and black paving slabs for a very modern looking garden. We were also delighted with the finish of the front garden. John and his team were polite, hardworking and extremely easy to have around the family and our 4 dogs . We would recommend his work on to anyone seeking a revamp of their garden. We would like to wish John and his team the very best for their business going forward. John came today (on a Sunday) to check the problem and advice us. Excellent service.

I posted for the services of a groundsman on gardener24.ie.
John sounded both enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the phone shortly afterwards.
He assessed what needed to be done instantly.
Relatively recently it came to light that a young oak tree was concreted in by pavers 9 months ago. While the pavers did a good job outside of this cover-up they also skimped on the quality of the grouting they used which was exploited by my two large dogs.
While there can be no certainty in terms of the recovery potential of the tree, John and the boys removed the concrete from around it quickly and took away two sandstone slabs to increase the soil space. They filled it with compost. They also erected a frame that I had purchased a while back around it & strongly advised me to keep my young dogs away which makes perfect sense. I grew the tree from acorn so was keen to give it a chance to recover if at all possible.
He gave me a price to clean & regrout the sandstone and immediately began the cleaning process.
He called me out to show me everything that they were doing and how and why they were doing it.
The two young men who worked on the job were knowledgeable and hard working. They were also very pleasant to have around. I had confidence in them. They advised me to keep my dogs off the sandstone for at least 3 days, while the pavers recommended 1 day.
Overall, I am delighted to have found a groundsman who can address the varied aspects of that job with experience and confidence.
I will ask John to price for groundsman jobs going forward and if his price is competitive I will be delighted to engage him again. More...
