I've reached out to Ken at a time when I felt overwhelmed with my emotions, incapable of handling them properly. His easy going attitude and approachability made the sessions feel like a safe space to speak about what I'm feeling without the fear of judgment or prejudice. Over the course of a couple of months, Ken's equipped me with the tools to process and become aware of the source of my anxiety and helped me learn how to accept and overcome the challenges they brought. I could not recommend A Helping Mind more, my quality of life and relationships have improved immeasurably and I feel more in control of my life than I have before. More...

We worked with Ken for over a year. From the very 1st session we found him very welcoming and understanding. He got us through a very difficult time and for that we are forever grateful. He helped us to become comfortable with our feelings and emotions and to communicate better. We couldnt recommend Ken highly enough. Thanks Ken for your passion, empathy and brilliant analogies. Counselling

After the first meeting with Ken I was completely at ease, he is so easy to talk to and very good at making you look at things differently, after just a couple of sessions I can now manage my anxiety and panic attacks so much better.
I would highly recommend Ken for anyone who is struggling with even the smallest things.

Ken has a very human, personable and disarming approach that allows you to feel secure in discussing at times difficult issues. He is not someone who sits behind a notepad and offers little direction.
Ken’s insight and support has been immeasurable and we are hugely grateful for his help.

I was quite unhappy in my life and I found it difficult to complete a day at work without getting upset at the smallest thing. I have a demanding job and spend a lot of the day dealing with the public. Due to changes in work as a direct result of Covid-19, I started to take complaints personally and I thought they were all directed at me. Due to an outburst at work, my GP advised me to find “someone to talk to”, and I found Ken at A helping Mind. The first time I met Ken, I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t know what I was going to say, I didn’t know what he was going to say or whether I would sit there and cry for an hour. I didn’t know what was wrong with me or why I was struggling. Ken is very good at his job. He does a lot of the talking at first which is immediately relaxing. He explains how he operates - and because he told me something of his own journey, it was easy to trust him. Ken made sense of the mess in my mind. Every week I got food for thought, and I found myself looking for the triggers when I was faced with confrontation. I am a lot more relaxed now, I am calm enough at work to listen without reacting, I can take time in my head to come up with a solution for a dilemma, instead of thinking everyone is out to get me. I also have the safety net of knowing that I can go back to Ken if I need to - and that in turn is a relief as I no longer feel like I’m falling off a cliff on my own! Thanks Ken! Am More...

I met Kenneth last year after struggling for a long time, I was in a bad way mentally after what I went through. Kenneth is a gentleman. On my 1st session he was able to identify and explain to me why I was feeling the way I was, he is very professional, polite, and explains that it is normal to experience those feelings, he thought me how to work around things, and look at them differently. He got me out of the dark place I was in and I can finally see the light at the other end. I cannot thank Kenneth enough. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help, Ken you are excellent I could not have got through it without you. Thanks to you I can smile again. Thank you so so much Kenneth More...

I started working with Kenneth a few months ago and I honestly couldn't recommend him highly enough. From the first session I felt completely at ease and I noticed a big improvement in my anxiety after a few one-on-one sessions with him. I consider myself to be quite an insightful person but Kenneth was able to guide me to insights about myself and my anxiety that I hadn't considered before. This was both a surprise and a revelation for me! He's very easy to talk to, insightful and non-judgemental. His humour also made the harder sessions much easier! Highly recommend :-) More...

Excellent service. I have attended counselling previously but it didn't work out. The option to attend from the comfort of my own home is a huge bonus for me.
Kenneth is a supportive intuitive counsellor who doesn't just listen but 'hears' what is being said.
Highly recommended

We have worked with Ken for a few weeks now and we really feel he has helped use so much as a couple.
He has an amazing insight into the brain and how we think and why we think and feel like we do.
I have worked with many of counsellors and Ken is by far the best and most knowledgeable one iv worked with.
He is a warm friendly soul that acts in an unbiased manner and we would highly recommend for any couple seeking counselling

I started seeing Ken last year when I was in a really low place. I was struggling with my work life balance and relationships, feeling very overwhelmed and depressed to the point where I lost track of who I was. He helped me find myself again and while I still have lows, I've learnt how to face my feelings and that's its okay not to be okay. My mental state has really improved. From day one he's made me feel very comfortable. He is patient and compassionate while being proactive and constructively challenging when needed. I would highly recommend, my only regret was not reaching out sooner. I was reluctant at first as I thought how I felt was normal, everyone has problems and to just keep the head down but it's okay to ask for help. I'm so grateful I did, thanks for everything Ken! I was attending two other Therapist in the past. Unforgettably it was not working. I was about to give up on the whole counselling approach to fixing my issues, until I had a session with Kenneth. I found Kenneth very knowledable in the area I need help with. I am now at a pivotal point in my journey, and there is a piercing clearance in the direction I want my life to go in. Kenneth has an impious zeal in he's sessions , I could not highly recommend him enough. More...

I’ve been working with Kenneth on a weekly basis, he has provide me with a non judgemental space where he helps me understand my feelings and scrambled thoughts. Kenneth is extremely helpful in finding me solutions or coping mechanisms , ones that I find very useful. He’s also shown me healthier ways to approach difficult conversations. I can’t thank Kenneth enough for his work over the past few months as I finally feel more like my self again and I can feel my confidence returning all thanks to Kenneth. More...

I had a number of issues to deal with over the last few years. With a autoimmune condition that I was diagnosed with a few years ago that made my life very uncomfortable.
I had to make alot of changes to learn to manage it and get control of it.
Also my two teenagers started college last year. Great achievement, but worries about my health and to make sure to keep my business in order for my families future. I was getting it all hard to deal with and I knew it was starting to effect me mental health.
I decided to make an appointment with Ken Liddane from “A helping mind”.
I found that the conversations I had with Ken helped me out alot and helped me to get more positive and have a better outlook on things to come.
Thanks Ken for everything 👍👍👍

I have struggled with anxiety since I was about 14 years old. It wasn’t until I started suffering panic attacks that I decided I needed help, so I started going to counseling during the beginning of 2020. I didn’t think it was helping me so I left. Later, during the pandemic, my mental health reached an all-time low. It was here that I decided to start going to counseling again and here is where I met Ken. I have been going to counseling with Ken for over a year now, and every week I look forward to my sessions with him. He has helped me to not only find coping mechanisms for when I am anxious or having panic attacks, but he has also helped me through periods when I am feeling depressed. Apart from helping me to cope, he has always made me feel comfortable and has always listened to me and been there for a chat, and this has also enabled me to open up. Overall, I always look forward to my counseling sessions with Ken and I could not recommend anyone more highly. More...

Q&As

It is so rewarding watching each individual overcome their challenges and obstacles

Having suffered from depression in the past, I found out first-hand how debilitating it can be. My road to recovery led me to study the mind and achieve a BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am now putting what I have learned and experienced to good use by supporting others who are struggling with their mental health.

You will soon see that I am down to earth and easygoing. Within the non-judgemental, empathetic, supportive and sometimes challenging environment, I provide you with short term coping mechanisms, an understanding of why you think, feel and behave the way you do, and I will help you develop long term solutions so you can face future challenges with confidence.

Yes, I provide counselling in person, online through Zoom, and over the phone, if you're stuck

In the counselling room, the chairs are over 2m apart, I disinfect the room between sessions, I ask that all clients inform me of any symptoms before appointments, and I am available online or over the phone if needs be.
