Very pleasant and relaxing stay, food was excellent in bar. I had allergies to certain food and this was looked after with great assistance of staff. Room was very comfortable, lovely decor. Breakfast was excellent , food so fresh and such an array to choose from. We love the Stillorgan Talbot hotel, we have been before and will certainly be back. Beautiful Hotel, stayed for my graduation on Tuesday night. The only downfall is that the breakfast is so expensive at over €16, had to head for town to have it instead.

My wife and I spent one night in this Talbot Hotel, the receptionist on arrival was really friendly and welcoming, we had dinner in the bar which was very tasty and well cooked, we can recommend the chicken wings, the bar is cosy and warm, the room was lovely and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style, it's OK but not great, the brown bread was really hard and sausages a bit tasteless, but we got a good deal on Pigsback which included two free cocktails. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are always polite and friendly and will try to help you in anyway possible. ||||Bar food is nice but as with a lot of hotels, a bit overpriced. Burger and chips is €16. Mind you, the burger was tasty but €16 is a lot to pay for one and a stingy portion of chips. ||||Rooms to the front of the hotel will get road noises and the windows don't do a lot to block it out. Best to ask for a room facing the court yard if that's going to be an issue. ||||Shower is great. Good quality toiletries are offered. ||||What's up with the brown room doors. Not very attractive. Actually made the place feel dirty in my opinion.||||Finally, l could have paid 3 different prices for my room. When l rang the hotel l was quoted €145. When l asked about my companies corporate rate l was quoted €125. When l checked on line l got it for €105. Pays to ask and to check online offers. Our second visit. We enjoyed our first visit last December and knew we were getting a very good four star hotel at a great price ; which we had booked three months in advance). But on this trip the Irish Sea almost ruined our holiday. We knew there was a storm coming but our ferry company could not confirm whether our ferry would sail until we got to the port an hour before sailing. I had called the hotel the day before and they extended our cancellation period. When the ferry company still couldn’t confirm whether they could get us to Dublin the night before our arrival ,Bala on the reception desk told us not to worry, that we could cancel the reservation and we could rebook at the same rate if the ferry sailed the following day. It did sail.I called the hotel from the ferry and Bala not only honoured our reservation rate but upgraded our room as well. I remembered him from our first trip as being helpful. What I love about this hotel (apart from it being a lovely place to stay) is that if you call them, you speak to the front desk , not a call centre. And the service is excellent. It feels like it is family run bur it is as good as a Marriott and half the price. Niamh on reception was also very helpful and the bar and restaurant staff were uniformly pleasant. This was the second time we have stayed at the Talbot Hotel. The first time we had a big problem with the door keys not working but they must have gotten that problem fixed as this time we had no problems at all. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Attending a function in the hotel and decided to stay overnight. Room was well presented, bed a very generous size. Our room looked out over a small courtyard but was well sound proofed and comfortable. Check in was prompt and efficient and receptionist professional and chatty. Hotel was extremely busy this weekend but room was nice and quiet and we were not disturbed by people coming and going.
