What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
When photographing people, it more about capturing natural, organic expressions, so its important to keep it relaxed and enjoyable.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Just whatever is useful to establish what they are looking for and how best to achieve it.
What do you love most about your job?
I like the interaction with the person I am photographing and its rewarding to provide them with something that can help to make a positive change to their professional or social media profile.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a casting director for film and TV, I have always been quite opinionated about actors headshots, so a few years ago, I decided to start taking them myself.

I am one of London's most prominent actors headshot photographers, but now live partly in Athlone. I also do a lot of corporate / company photos and family and events, etc.

No, photographing people cant be done remotely, so I cant offer that service.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
It can all be done with social distancing, so I have just taken measures to keep everything clean and offer hand sanitizer. I am fully vaccinated.

I mainly take actors headshots and corporate / business photos, but am happy to do whatever kind of portrait photography you are looking for.
I have a base in Athlone, but can travel and often work in Dublin and Galway. I work largely with natural light (indoor and outdoor), but have lights and use them when needed.
