I had got out of the habit of attending the gym. It had been 18-24 months since I had a regular training schedule. There were also a lot of excuses, traveling for business had increased, we moved to a new house etc. I had put on a lot of weight , energy levels where low and overall fitness had deteriorated.I started my search for a place that combined strength and condition training, I wanted a gym that was not too big, and one were sessions where limited in size. The last point was a main component for me because experience had thought me that was the best environment for me to train in as you get to know your fellow class mates which makes it more fun . Equally important is the coach is accessible and always on hand to guide and coach you. We all have different strengths and weakness and as such different training needs and with a coach on hand to address those needs that is fantastic. I joined Urban Fitness in Feb this year and it is a great place to train and get fit. The “Strong and Fit” classes are fab, they are programmed to ensure all body fitness improvement and the movements are varied regularly to keep it interesting. The “Sweat” sessions are what they say on the box. They are about building that internal engine but at the same time being fun. I also do the yoga at least once a week, this was the “Cherry on Top” as to the reason I joined. I had done yoga a few times and I knew what benefits it held for a guy like me at 45 years of age. I just needed to be consistent and it is paying off.Since I have joined, I have lost body fat, built muscle mass and I’m more flexible. Cannot speak highly enough of this set-up. From the management of the programme to the nutrition, to the group classes; these guys have everything geared toward your success. I had played rugby competitively up to 2017 but retired due to the accumulation of injuries and lack of time to train properly. Coming out of 2 spinal procedures last year I had gained a huge amount of weight as I had continued to eat like an athlete, just not exercise like 1. From day 1 the programme was tailored to ease me back in to a gym environment. My entire shape has changed dramatically which I am eternally grateful for as I just had my wedding 2 weeks ago, after 12 weeks with Urban Fitness. I'm pain free in my back, I am lifting almost as heavy as I ever have, I have more energy, more confidence and I am loving life with Urban Fitness. I love Urban Fitness! The coaches are amazing, the members are so friendly and supportive and I feel like I’m getting stronger and fitter every week. The coaches push you hard without ever risking injury like they do in some gyms. The group training sessions are really fun and challenging, especially the women’s workout every morning. Also, it’s fantastic value for money considering all the one-on-one support, the access to classes and the well-designed sessions. More...

I was in and out of other gyms for years and just kept leaving or going to the gym and standing around and then just leave as soon as I felt a bit tired because I had no motivation. I have been in Urban fitness since August and I have to say it's great, all the coaches a brilliant and they make it really enjoyable going to the gym. I joined Urban Fitness 9 weeks ago and can highly recommend the experience to date. I was a complete novice and very nervous! I need not have worried as I was warmly welcomed and supported every step of the way. I have now managed to complete activities I never would have imagined doing before. I joined Urban Fitness when I was 12 weeks pregnant and the coaches worked with me the whole way through my pregnancy, altering the workout to suit my trimesters and pregnancy. I saw huge results and the exercise eased my restless legs, helping me sleep better at night. I can’t wait to get back post partrum now and get back to working out. I have been a member of UF for just over 2 years and there are several reasons why I have stayed consistently with it. Good facilities and complete workouts that can be adjusted to all levels are delivered by a professional team. I have found that I am consistent in my training, something that would have been lacking in the past in other gyms, and the fact that I take it for granted is an endorsement of its importance to my routine. I have been a member of Urban Fitness for 4 months, but the amount of ground I have covered over this time has been great! Having never been a member of a gym before and been away from regular exercise for quite a while, I didn’t want to join a large gym where I would feel crowded out, intimidated and anonymous. Urban Fitness is the perfect fit for me, as the classes are small (max 12 people) and the coaches are really friendly and approachable. The coaches’ approach to training is well rounded and varied, so it never gets repetitive. They are really accommodating if you need exercises adapted or have specific goals you want to work on. Urban Fitness also feels much friendlier and like a little team, regularly hosting charity days and offering yoga classes every weekend where you get to meet more members. The also offer challenges to members, such as the 8-week challenge, which really gave me an opportunity to focus on my nutrition and push my training plan. It gave me a great boost in my training and I am happy with my progress so far. With Urban Fitness I’m not just improving my fitness level, I also feel like I’m improving my knowledge – I was a complete beginner to weight training but am slowly and surely building up my knowledge. The coaches regularly check in with me, and having that personal support helps remind me of my goals, especially on those hard weeks! More...

I joined Urban Fitness because I had early stage osteoporosis and my doctor suggested I do weight bearing exercises. A year of weights under Rob's supervision and the osteoporosis has gone! Rob has also pushed me to achieve goals that I never thought I would at 60+!! Ive met such lovely people and the atmosphere is great - not at all intimidating, only encouraging. I joined Urban Fitness in January of this year with the aim of working on my strength fitness. It's a great place to workout as it's mainly free weights which I prefer.
The numbers working out at any one time are limited as you must book via their app, this ensures that you are never waiting for equipment. There is always a coach available to offer assistance and direction when and if required.
I personally have seen and felt an immense improvement in a short period of time, I have unintentionally dropped a few kilos and can really feel the upward trend in fitness level.
Overall, Urban have managed to develop a great atmosphere with a really nice bunch of people working out there.

Just completed a six week programme with Rob & Tara from a relatively non-existent fitness base this year...by far the best time ever spent at a gym! Fun, inclusive and supportive environment, where classes are diverse, tailored and convenient to attend. Lost inches, eating & sleeping much better with a ton of energy. I am relatively new to UF, having only joined at the beginning of 2017 however I have already noticed significant physical and mental benefits by virtue of the focused programme and consistent mentoring from the team. Prior to joining UF, I would have already been quite an active gym user however I had plateaued and required guidance as well as motivation. Fantastic Gym!
Small groups of people per couch, always friendly atmosphere.
Great instructors – if you can’t do some exercise, i.e. due to some injury, they will always find another technique for you, will make sure that you don’t harm yourself. They offer great nutritional guidance too.
Training program is changed every 5-6 weeks so you can’t get bored with the same strength/conditioning routine.
After 6 months I am feeling great, my energy and physical health busted.
Highly recommended, you won’t find better gym!

Just finished "drop 2 jean sizes in 6weeks " feel amazing The training is really good and works for all different levels of fitness. I was really unfit when I started and I'm feeling much stronger now and a massive difference in my body . I have trained at Urban Fitness previously for 2 years or more then had to change due to work and location inconvenience but thrilled to be back. I love the training program and the pain in every single muscle after training, happy with my results as always, coaches are great and ready to help with what you need, nice and clean gym, great atmosphere. I joined Urban Fitness February of Last year and have had a total transformation physically and mentally.
I had trained sporadically in the past and have also previously worked in the fitness industry but never got anywhere near the results I have achieved and am still achieving with Urban Fitness.
The coaches have great knowledge and have a very professional and friendly approach towards exercise, while at the same time know how to push you to get the most out of each session.
They have created a great environment and atmosphere to train in and help clients achieve their goals, I couldn’t recommend Urban Fitness Dublin highly enough.

I finished the 6 week Death of the Dad Bod last week and overall I'm feeling great with friends noticing a significant difference in my shape. The Urban Fitness team are so knowledgeable about everything fitness, training, diet (good and bad). The program was structured so that you got a good mix of conditioning and strength. The motivation starts from when you set foot in the door. I loved it so much I have signed up as a monthly member as I see the value of the monthly investment in my overall health and well-being. I recently had my 2nd baby and decided to go back to the gym 6 weeks after she was born. Because i hadn't been to the gym in well over 6 months i was not only dreading the thoughts of it but also a bit nervous about too.. Well i have to say it's one of the best decisions i ever made because i feel fitter, stronger and healthier than ever! I go 3 times a week for 1 hour in the morning and it has made such a huge difference to my energy levels, my appearance and most of all my overall mood. The coaches are unbelivably knowledgable and so patient, (BOB!), I honestly cannot recommend Urban Fitness enough! I genuinely think every woman who has recently had a baby should try and factor in a few hours training/exercise a week because it's invaluable to your overall mood and approach to this new change in your life and god knows it's a pretty big change so for me these are MY 3 hours in the week... and that's OK!! Having not been to a gym in over 6 years I was apprehensive about starting back - so much has changed in the gym world in that time. I needn’t have worried and wish I had done this sooner. Week 4 of a 6 week beginner programme and nothing but positives - loads more energy, sleeping better, feel healthier and most importantly having fun and enjoying some ‘me time’ again. The coaches are fantastic and so supportive - always checking to see that you have the correct form for each exercise. The women only session is incredibly empowering and supportive. I took the plunge to do the Urban Fitness six week programme and so glad that I did. I pushed myself to do 3 / 4 Classes a week. The Gym offers great variety in their sessions. After just a couple of weeks I noticed a difference in how I felt and looked. Getting the right portion sizes. Eating the right food has all paid off together with the great and tough workouts. All based on the advice from the Instructors who are hugely motivating and tap in to you regularly to see how you’re getting on. I’m delighted to say I’ve lost 11 lbs in just six short weeks. I’ve been going to gyms 15years and this has to be the most enjoyable and by far the most effective gym I’ve joined.
A great team of instructors to help you with your technique and give you the feedback needed to reach your goals.
A very friendly personal gym without the ego! Equipment is always clean and tidy and the music is actually decent (unlike most gyms).
I would highly recommend Urban Fitness.

I would definitely recommend Urban Fitness to friends and family. It's in an excellent location, with great equipment and excellent trainers. The workouts are challenging, there's no egos in the gym and the trainers support and motivate you to achieve your goals.
