Lovely hotel with very attentive staff, from the reception staff to housekeeping, honestly they were all very friendly, rooms were very clean and the complimentary toiletries were really nice, we will be back

Amazing experience everytime we stay. My fiance is in a wheelchair and they are always so helpful. The girls that work behind the desk always know our faces. My sisters an I stayed here last week and also during the summer.|| I thought it was great value, very clean and modern. Staff all very pleasant and food very tasty.. The hotel is very central and within walking distance of a variety of shops resturants,art galleries, historical castle and pubs. ||We went to Seans pub on the first night and enjoyed a night of great music. They have music there most nights. ||You can also take a boat trip on the shannon as it flows through the town. Somthing to enjoy in the summer months. ||I would highly recommend a trip there and a stay in the Prince Of Wales. More...

I had a lovely stay in the Prince of Wales. The girl on reception was very pleasant - helpful and accommodating. Bar Staff were pleasant also. Popped in here for lunch one Saturday while shopping in the town. Lovely cosy bar and restaurant with honest-to-goodness fresh food, plenty of choice and very very reasonably priced. Staff here are both friendly and polite and genuinely interested in ensuring that you enjoy your experience. I bypassed the Prince for other places for quite a while, simply because I didn't know what it was like. Now that I do, I will be a regular visitor here in future. Well done guys!! More...

i had a lovely warm room at the back 109, very quiet, i did`nt eat in the hotel but i have had lunch there on past visits it was always top class, a small issue on my visit was that the reception was`nt very informative, regarding where my room was and how too get to it, i had to ask, i have worked in the industry and it is common knowledge you treat every Guest as equal i might have only paid a lower rate, but i was still a Guest, even passing in and out, not one Jesture of hello, this is the first time in all my years of travelling and staying in hotels i have came across this, I`m sorry to have to say this but i felt second class, it would have been a 5 star review only for that, We all have bad days, but as i learned over the years, keep your personal life behind you when your working, i will i hope get back to Athlone, and if i will stay at the Prince of Wales, please it your reading this, do not let it put you off staying here, the hotel is in the heart of the town, and a short walk from every thing,
