To be completely honest, we did not go inside; however they very kindly allowed my motger and I to sit in the courtyard until our ride arrived. We never felt pressured to leave.
Located on banks of river Shannon. Nice cafe and shop.

Located near Arthurs Quay car park. This was the original Customs House which formed part of the old port. This a handy place to visit because it's in the city.

Interesting and varied selection of exhibit s
A very nice museum. You can experience a lot of history there.
Fantastic place to visit, gad a guided tour, learnt alot about the Hunt family. Plenty of pottery, pictures, paintings, objects from many countries. I really liked how the museum connects with the art and design college in limerick and they show the students work. The art gallery had beautiful paints on loan from other galleries. I highly recommend a visit. More...

Excellent, always visit when in Limerick. Great exhibition on until Oct 1, 2019. Lovely resturant.
If I had more stars, I would give them all..... don't miss this treasure trove of a museum. We went to see the Lavery/Osborne exhibition and stayed for the free tour of the museum upstairs.... we hadn't enough time to do the entire floors or to linger but decided we are going back soon to taste this wonderful museum in all its flavours...... a worthy rival to the larger Chester Beatty in Dublin...... don't miss it, make the effort to travel if you are not in Limerick - detour and GO!!! More...

we went to the spooky tour on halloween night which was held at the hunt museum. it was the highlight of my weekend so refreshingly different and insightful. They had a photography exhibit that was just amazing. They were all black and white photos, and they each had a saying written on a card next to them. I'm kind of obsessed with black and white photography, so this was like crack for me. they do let you buy prints of the photos, but they want 100-200 Euros each depending on the size. More...
Not a very big museum but good day out though. Even has a cafe shop inside if you are tired of standing, you can do some people wanting.
More...
