Beef ordered medium x 2 - and medium well x 2 2 were overdone and 2 were rare and were given to the wrong personsApart from that the food and portion sizes were very good Bit expensive for Sunday lunch in my opinion we only had one glass of wine as all were driving We eat out quite a lot - fine dining - and casually and this was on the high Side for what we got But we’ve been lots of times before and will go again and would recommend it

First time here. Really liked the place.. modern and quirky. Food good. Some of the waiting staff not great. Long delay between our starter and mains. . they were busy.. however an apology would have been good. Big disappointment to see they "measure the quantity of a glass of wine".... and overpriced for the quantity served. Dont be stingy .... give customers a decent glass of wine...!! It was our first trip to the restaurant and it was very impressive. The place has been beautifully restored and extended. The service was really friendly . My main disappointment was the food. I ordered fish parfait for starters which looked like whipped cream and with very little taste. The fish pie was nice but not enough fish and too much potatoes in the mix. This came with some leaves but it would have been better to have a proper side order with this which maybe should have been suggested by the waitress. Summer lemon mousse was not very tasty. Staff were very attentive, refilling our water, bread etc. Food was as per usual faultless. The arancini and the smokehouse burger were very tasty. We were a table of 6 and all dishes were lovely. The portions are just the right amount as I hate leaving a restaurant feeling like your going to explode. We didn't have dessert on this occasion but each one on the menu sounded delicious. The bar staff are so interested too about each drink that they make. They can make any cocktail you like if you dont fancy anything on the menu, but I think it would be hard not to find something you like. Looking forward to getting back there soon. More...

We had a lovely evening on Sunday last with our 1 year old. The atmosphere was so casual and calm, staff were brilliant and so friendly with our little man. They made sure there was enough space for us and our high chair to not feel in the way of others. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with wine for a very reasonable price, considering the service, quality of food and surrounding's you are immersed in.We love Old Street and will be back soon.
