Wow, best dinner we had in South Africa. Fantastic food, in perfection, great service, couldn’t ask for better. Recommendations from me, try the ostrich fillet in medium rare or the tuna steak.

I would like to give 5 stars, but I can't.I love the place, it's a very nice and cosy one.The stuff is superb, very charming and very interested. They always look after you.It's a very nice menu, there are various interesting dishes on it.But we had some trouble. The filet from the springbock wasn't tender but cooked well.The peri peri chicken was ok, but nothing special. They added to much lemon to all components which covered all other flavor, also the chilli for my understanding.So I think and hope they are a lot better and we were a litle but unlucky... More...

One of the best restaurants on our whole trip! We stayed 3 nights in Plett and went all 3 evenings for dinner to Nguni. That was unique on our trip. But it was all so perfect that we said it won't be better somewhere else. The beet root salad is so delicious that I had it as first course on every of all 3 evenings. The main course changed between filet and fish and back to filet. I had the special cheese cake as a dessert and couldn't decide for something else on the other 2 days. It was just to good. But I've tried the dessert of my boyfriend and it was excellent too.Besides the food, the location is so lovely. If I would have a restaurant I would decorate it exactly the same. Wir waren Ende Januar dort. Das Restaurant mit dem großen Innenhof ist gemütlich, versucht draußen einen Tisch zu bekommen. Das Brot in der Tasse ausgebacken eine tolle Idee. O melhor restaurante da África do Sul! O file de avestruz estava macio e saboroso! O chimichurri era especial!! Além disso o cheesecake é divino! O melhor que comi na minha vida!!! A MUST DO in Plett One of THE best dinners we ever had. Can highly recommend the ostrich and the springbock steak and the spring rolls as a starter. We visited Nguni Restaurant very spontaneously, without having a reservation. Unfortunately, the restaurant was full. The manager was very nice though and asked us if we were willing to wait for a couple of minutes. We were and after a short waiting time he brought us to a free table.
