The strength of this establishment certainly lies in the restaurant - great food at very reasonable prices and the perfect location for celebrations. On the weekend of our group's stay, about 10 functions were hosted at the restaurant and the staff and management functioned like a well-oiled machine. Being able to stay in one of the guest-house rooms is an added benefit and enables guests to spend quality time together. Rooms are spacious and clean and have most of the amenities one would require for a short stay. Bathrooms are well equipped and beds provided a good night's rest. There are some minor maintenance and practical details that require attention - such as positioning of mirrors; electric kettle cords too short to reach the electric outlets; absence of hair-dryers in some rooms and some general plumbing and electrical maintenance issues, but overall this was a most enjoyable stay! We arrived one day earlier than expected. Ina and staff accommodated us and made us feel welcome from the second we walked in. We formed part of a large group of bikers that started arriving the next day and the staff of Knff un Gaffel went out of their way to please us all. The atmosphere at the bar area was great and the food was fantastic. For my first meal I had a 500g T-bone steak which was served with a local beer for a special price of only R79. The steak was done to perfection. This set the tone of culinary things to come during the whole weekend. It was topped off by a buffet breakfast on Sunday "to die for" - the presentation was amazing and the taste of the food provided matched its looks. Well done Ina and team... We will definitely be back, on our own or with a group of friends to this home from home. More...

Probably a 75% rating - we had not so a nice room, but the other guest had a fantastic room and the breakfast was fantastic. The people are friendly and we were accepted without a deposit. The property is safe and our vehicle was safely parked in front of our room. It is big and spacious and has a swimming pool. Overall this is a good accommodation for a business trip and short stays. Stayed here 1 night beginning of Southern Africa trip, then 2 nights ending our 3 week trip. Hosts were overwhelmingly accommodating for our family group of 16. Food was terrific, rooms were clean and comfortable (though we were a bit chilly on our last 2 mornings). They were a tad overcapacity the last 2 nights so some of us lodged at the neighbor's, which was a little awkward, but still very hospitable.
