Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a funeral. Booked via the hotel website which takes you through to booking.com. On arrival, they advised that we could be moved rooms and it would reduce the price by €60 so we were happy!||Lovely, big rooms in the newer part of the hotel at the rear. Comfortable beds and lovely and quiet on Friday night. Saturday, however, was very noisy and the singing and shouting went on outside until 2am!||Large car park at the rear of the hotel but watch out for the massive potholes!||With the drive to remove single use plastics, it was very disappointing to see shampoo and shower gel sachets in the rooms - please consider changing this. ||Good breakfast cooked to order but a menu would be nice! Also, a full Irish consisted of 2 sausage, 2 bacon, fried egg, black and white pudding. No beans, mushrooms, or tomato so very heavy on the protein content! A bit of some of these would be nice for balance. ||Overall, a good stay though a few areas for easy improvement. More...

My husband and I were recently in Ireland and stayed several nights at Durkin's. I had booked our stay after reading reviews here on TripAdvisor. It was a wonderful stay. Andrew Durkin, along with the staff at the hotel, bar, and restaurant were wonderful. Our room was clean and comfortable. And we found the bar/restaurant to have delicious food. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone who served us in the bar/restaurant were attentive, fun, polite, and very friendly. I plan to return to Ireland in several years and will absolutely stay again at Durkin's if there is space available. Andrew also helped me arrange a taxi to take us around the area for which I was very grateful. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Durkin's and in Ballaghaderreen. More...

We popped in here for lunch & we were not disappointed. The food was great and the service was superb. I have a sore knee from trekking from Castletownbere and they supplied me with a bag of ice at lunchtime and again later, when I just popped in for ice and wifi. Myself and my fiance stayed here during the secret village festival really enjoyed our stay, one of the staff members really stood out a young lady named rosin she was brilliant really attentive and very professional made our stay all the better, all of the staff were great but rosin really stood out thank you very much it was fantastic

No only are the staff lovely, friendly an helpful. The food was delicious! Out of all the hotels i have visited so far in ireland this hotel food was just lovely 100% cleaned my plate. The room is spotless lovely an warm firm mattress. Wonderful bathroom. Even has a fridge for you to use. Perfect! And to top it off you can choose your own personal breakfast time! Was invited back to Durkins following the funeral of a relative. Food was laid on in an upstairs room. There was lots of cold cuts and salads and a choice of 2 hot heals (chicken curry and Irish stew). I plumped for the stew. The meat was melt in the mouth and went very well with the mash provided.
