just been to my nephews wonderful wedding reception here on july 13 for a fantastic wedding barbeque everything about it was 1st class the food was great the staff very helpful the outside covered reception area i thought was really nice well done to all involved.

We just got married at Cloonacauneen and it was everything we dreamed of! We were planning the entire thing from abroad, so we hadn't seen or tasted anything before the day, but it didn't disappoint! And the girls who helped us plan were so accommodating with all of our questions and difficulties planning from afar. The food was delicious and the decorations so charming! We got married at Cloonacauneen Castle 3 weeks ago and it was everything myself and my husband could have asked for. So many of my guests commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to, from the staff to the surroundings the food and line dancing class we joined in on before our meal which everyone had so much fun with, it was just the perfect day all around. I have to give a special mention to Andrea who helped us so much arranging everything since we are based in the UK and she was magnificent on the day too. We had our wedding here in December. It was perfect and had the most wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious, we went for the meal and then a pig on a spit later in the night which was also lovely. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Marie is a wonderful help in the run up to the wedding and very accommodating. It's an unusual and beautiful venue, highly recommend for a civil ceremony / reception. I had my wedding cermony at Cloonacauneen Castle last November the 18. We had a small civil cermony in the Castle and dinner afterwards. The room for the cermony was gorgeous as were the bedrooms, the dinning room and the big room upstairs that we all sat in after the meal with the huge open fire blazing was fantastic and gave the sense of a real intimate reception.The food was great and the service from staff was great.The Castle itself was just amazing for our photos also. We got married here 24 June 2016 and I'm from the states but my husband is from Galway so we decided to get married where he grew up. We absolutely LOVED it here. Authentic castle feel and the entire staff was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too big and nothing was too small. We had a few mishaps with the florist and Roisin made it 10000% better. Roisin was amazing on the day of our wedding and Marie was amazing before the wedding with all the planning overseas. And the food was so good. I can't say enough about this place. We got married in a Cloonacauneen Castle New Years Eve. Marie and Roisin were just unbelievable from start to finish! I can't recommend them or this castle enough! We had our dream wedding thanks to them and their amazing staff. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating - no request is too big or too small. Roisin went above and beyond for us the night before the wedding helping us get everything ready and Marie was a dream to work with also for the many months beforehand. Even the aftercare the morning after the wedding was superb, they had everything boxed up and ready for us to leave once we'd had our wedding breakfast with family and friends! Just stopped by randomly on a Thursday afternoon and the few people tending the castle invited us in and showed us around. We went there for my wife's best friends wedding and from the time we got there everything was amazing. Location of the castle was epic. Very secluded and private. No wonder my grandmother enjoyed coming here. Prosecco on arrival, canapés..staff gave you more..The barman seemed a bit grumpy bit he did his job well. Food was excellent.. drink was expensive enough and there are not many rooms so we stayed in a local B&B which was hard enough to find in the dark.. we'll done all staff who made it such a nice experience More...

What can i say without sounding like i was paid to write a review! Great venue, fantastic food and amazing staff. Every aspect of our wedding at Cloonacauneen was just amazing. We had such a relaxed day with no fuss. It was as good as a Private Venue for the 2 days with the odd local at the bar. Better than any other venue we have been to. Albeit a bit cold when we arrived it soon warmed up and we could soak in the atmosphere. The staff at Cloonacauneen are one of a kind. So pleasant, so accommodating and add to the charm of this wonderful venue. Thank you all for an amazing day! Lunch on a Sunday is a must also plenty of good food and service.
