Images after Photoshoot
We will provide an online folder for your images once you have received a link to your photos you can select your favourite images. Please notify us which image numbers they are & your favourite photo will be retouched within 24 hours or sooner if you’ve made previous arrangements.
We encourage at least two to three different outfits, keep them simple avoid lint and creases of course. Nothing too ultrabright in colour or loud patterns.
Lighting and retouching
My job is to make people look their best, and it means having the best lighting available on the market my lighting equipment includes professional flash natural light and or a combination of these along with reflector panels etc.
The portraits I take will be enhanced in post production I’ll enhance the contrast, colour, sharpness, and expose your suitability to ensure the upmost quality. All final photos will meet advertisement level retouching standards useful includes skin teeth hair and clothing enhancements as necessary.
Make up and Hair
We can provide a make up artist or you bring one, I need to know ahead of time.
Women - no heavy make up, make up should be subtle, bring a comb.
Men - clean shaven or business bring a comb and gel if needed.
What backdrops are best for corporate Headshots.
The more conservative industries like law and finance we recommend neutral backdrops based in black white or gray.
If you work in creative industries, nonprofits or tack and you’d like for us to have a bit more pop feel free to pick an alternate backdrop or try an outdoor/indoor session these photos often have a bit more personality.
Multiple uses of Headshots
If you are using Headshots in different places like LinkedIn, press releases, social media etc. It is recommended to have a few indoor/outdoor photoshoots to change the look and not have one image across all platforms which would look a bit amateurish.
Collaboration
This is a collaborative effort on both sides I try and find out as much as I can about what you want and where you need to use these images. That helps me understand more about what your goals and needs are. I like to keep the session casual and informal, we will check the images as we go to make sure the look the make up (if you’re wearing any), lighting, posing, hair etc. are on track and you’re happy with the direction we are pursuing. Once we establish your goals we will work on our ideas all the while making you feel very comfortable and natural to bring out different poses if necessary keeping in mind we only need one great shot among all of it.
I am very flexible about the whole process and encourage your input of course if you wish.
I will explain what will happen in post production and retouching if you’re interested.
How should I prepare for a Headshot
Get some sleep, exercise and sunshine in the week before your session. If you have any shots of yourself you like bring them to the session. Do I on the clothing that you want to wear before the session to make sure it still fits and looks the way you want.

Ross will make sure there is very close communication regarding all aspects of your wedding day ensuring we don't miss any of those special moments surrounding the entire event.
