I recently had my basement apartment renovated by Remodel Masters, led by Michael Deacon, and the result was absolutely fantastic! The space turned out so cozy and beautiful, exactly what I wanted. Michael is such a hands-on contractor. he’s always present with his team and even does the work himself. What impressed me most was his attention to detail. he noticed even the smallest imperfections, like slight discoloration, and made sure everything was redone until it looked perfect. I saw Michael on Facebook and his company REMODEL MASTERS Page so I reached out and inquire if they can do a full bathroom renovation and luckily Michael set a date for him to come over our place and see the bathroom himself for an accurate quote. He was very approachable and all smile. He also explains everything that needs to be done, materials the cost, everything. Then, his team started the project there was a little problem along the way because the color of paint that I want is not matching the whole thing so he had to redo it and change it. What I love is he always ask for our insight first, like hey this is not fit this is a little awkward so let's do this and that to make it the best version. and I love that he always opens up even small details throughout the project until it was done. Bathroom Installation & Remodel
We used this company for our bathroom renovation. Micheal was very quick at getting back to use with a quote. We had new bathroom faucets installed and new ceramic on the shower base/floor installed.
The total cost was $3200 and if we wanted to get it done right away he offered a $650 discount because we were going on vacation and felt we should do the renovation upon our return but Michael said there would not be enough time to complete the job before we left Michael said it could be done in 4 days so we decided to go ahead and have him complete the job. He did a very poor job of installing the ceramic shower floor so bad that he himself called us back and said once we returned from vacation he would come back and make the necessary repairs. We all agreed with that and trusted him
and paid him the full balance because we put our trust in him. We returned from vacation and contacted Micheal
April.30th and his phone number did not work any longer so i sent him an email as well as my husband. He gave
us his new phone number and has promised to come and do the necessary repairs. Micheal always says
he will fix things but never shows up. Micheal used white scilicon on the ceramic floor which was a mess for me to clean off the tiles. Michael should have cleaned the tiles himself. The ceramic tiles are not leveled some are higher than others so you feel it on your feet right away and the scilicon is all peeling off the ceramic tiles. I’m no expert but to me he should of used grout on the tiles not scilicon. To date we are unable to use our shower as the scilicon is peeling off and don’t want to have any water damage in the floor below. We feel Michael is just giving us the run around. Everyone who deem our bathroom shower floor says it’s awful. Please do not hire him he’s not to be trusted does not keep his word and does a terrible job.

Hello Maria, i am very sorry you feel this way. But as you know I am coming to your house tomorrow morning at 9am yet you insist in leaving this public comment up even saying i shouldnt be trusted or hired by anyone else because your the only person in the world that matters and my family shouldnt eat until your bathroom floor is fixed. You left out that we did an excellent job on everything else. I missed one appointment as we were working and called back to reschedule. Yes i am the one that called you, we tried a new product that is silicone grout we showed you the product. Unfortunately the product did not work as advertised and ill never use it again and we are coming to replace it with regular grout at our own expense. Look forward to seeing you in the morning...

It typically begins with an initial assessment and feasibility check, where you evaluate if your loft space has enough headroom (ideally 2.2 meters), a suitable roof structure (cut roof or trussed), and whether it's possible to add a staircase and windows. If the space is viable, the next step is planning and design, where you consult with an architect or builder to draw up detailed plans. During this stage, you’ll decide on the type of conversion—rooflight, dormer, hip-to-gable, or mansard—and whether you'll need planning permission, though many loft conversions fall under permitted development.
Once the design is finalized and permissions are secured, the structural preparation begins. This involves reinforcing or installing new floor joists, adjusting or replacing parts of the roof structure (especially in trussed roofs), and preparing for utilities like plumbing and electrics. After structural work, the project moves to external modifications, such as installing dormers, skylights, or new roofing elements. This is also when scaffolding may be erected, and any roof coverings are temporarily removed or adjusted.
Following that is the internal construction phase, which includes fitting insulation, installing walls and ceilings, and running electrical wiring and plumbing.
