I hired this company for a full renovation project and paid $14,000 in cash. Only the pot lights and painting were completed. The flooring and other agreed‑upon work were never finished despite over a year of follow‑ups. I repeatedly asked for the work to be completed or for a refund, and the contractor eventually told me to “go legal.” I am now proceeding with formal complaints and small claims court. This is not accurate. The original job was to install a complete kitchen and change your penthouse stair to a glass with metal steps valued $30000. We began working on cabinets and stairs after your approval. When your condo management declined your the approval after 3 months that’s when you changed the entire scope of work to painting your penthouse first floor and second floor complete and install 31 spotlights with dimmers to your satisfaction Since then you have repeatedly requested additional work without payment.this behaviour is amounts to attempted blackmailing for more and extra work. Your claim that we owe you $14000 simply not true. No such amount is stated in contract. We have all the documents and receipts that we have completed installation of 31 spotlights and painting of the complete penthouse. Which you never paid. We have made every effort to resolve this professionally, but due to ongoing false claims we will be proceeding with a lien on property for the unpaid balance for completed work We stand behind the quality of our work and we welcome any one to contact us directly for clarification and assistance Onyx Renovation Inc
