MOM'S PSW CORPORATION

For founder Mouminatou (Moumie) Kanté, caregiving wasn’t a planned career—it was a calling born of devotion.

Originally from Guinea Conakry, Moumie grew up in a culture that honours its elders with deep love and respect—where tending for them is seen as a privilege, not a duty. For 30 years, she looked after her mother with that motivation until her passing. In her grief, she felt compelled to extend the same loving support to others. Yet after training and working as a Personal Support Worker in Canada, she saw the struggles behind the scenes: an overwhelmed system that left seniors feeling rushed or unseen, and PSWs who felt undervalued and unheard. Her response was to build something better. In 2023, she founded MOM’S PSW as a compassionate and attentive care for seniors across Eastern Ontario.

Our PSWs take time to slow down, listen, and move at a comfortable pace. We build real connections so care feels personal, not clinical. Providing more than assistance—we bring
conversation, kindness, and presence so no one feels alone.

We also help seniors stay self-sufficient and involved in their own routines, while giving families peace of mind that their loved one is safe and well cared for. Knowing a kind, capable PSW is there brings peace of mind and lets loved ones focus on being family—not full-time caregivers. We treat every senior like someone’s parent or grandparent like we would our own. Patience and kindness is our way.

We take time to build trust and familiarity—introducing PSWs carefully and keeping visits
consistent so everyone feels comfortable and confident.

We offer Free Consultations both in-person and virtually so clients and their families can get the support they need.

Our PSWs are required to stay up to date on their flu and COVID-19 shots. They are also supplied with proper protective gear they bring to each shift and cautioned to stay home when experiencing any symptoms.
