K9 Focus Dog Training worked with my 9 almost 10 year old shihpoo. Her focus while in training for 3-4 weeks was aggression. K9 really broke down her behaviors for us and we were able to understand her signals before she would bite. They were able to see subtle cues that we did not pick up on as her owners. After her training and getting a better understanding on our dog than we have ever had she is much more behaved now. We also feel much more confident as her owners. We arranged an at home session with Andrew and Leah to help us with a couple of our 2 year old pup's behavioral issues that we haven't been able to correct. They made us and our pup feel comfortable from the minute they stepped inside the door. The first issue was corrected within minutes and we've managed to very easily maintain this correction in her behavior by following Andrew and Leahs demonstrations and Guidance. They also provided us with a very clear demonstration and explanation to deal with the second issue and we're extremely confident that our new skills and understanding will help with this issue that can only be corrected when the certain type of situation arises "this scenario is hard to recreate". We really feel we received alot of value out of our one session and would highly reccomend them to anyone! They came prepared with a tool to help with this training and even offered it to us at a reasonable price so we could continue reinforcing ours and our puppies new skills immediately! I don't think 1 session is the answer for every case, but it was definitely perfect for our scenario. I wouldn't think twice to refer this pair to any one, they were very friendly but also straight to business "we liked that alot". Be prepared to be told what you're doing wrong because in our case it was very clear the problem is us not our Puppy, technically correcting our behaviour with our dog almost instantly resolved one issue we had with her! They took their time with us and made sure when they left we felt confident with all the information they had given us. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching people how to communicate effectively with their dogs. When the dog and owner finally establish that moment of communication..that "ah ha!" moment, it's truly amazing!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My family has always had dogs but the first dog that I got on my own was a Bloodhound with severe human aggression. I've been in the shoes of someone who has a dog with severe behavioural problems and it's one of the hardest things to handle.l and work through. I spent thousands on training just to make him manageable and give him a good life. Eventually to further help him I decided to become a trainer myself. He passed away last January from cancer and I miss him every day.
He's always been my inspiration. I decided to start this business to help other owners and their dogs understand each other and grow.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will always strive to assist you in understanding your dog and understanding the why's and how's of training. I explain everything I'm doing in detail and love helping owners understand how to make their relationship better with their dog.

Our Private Training Sessions are tailored specifically to your needs. We will visit your home to address any issues from minor nuisances like pulling on the lead or counter surfing to major concerns like aggression or destructive anxiety. Board and Train Programs
Our Board and Train programs are designed to address more complicated or severe cases of negative behaviour. In some cases, it is beneficial to remove a dog from the comfort of their familiar environment and hold them to a standard of behaviour that will carry back to when a dog is returned home. Every dog and every family is different - if you are having difficulty with your dog, give us a call!
Puppy Consultations
We offer a one-time Puppy Consultation where we come to your home and show you the basics of puppy training. If you're having difficulty or if you'd like to avoid having to pay for more costly training later in your dog's life, this is definitely the option for you! Specifically geared toward puppies that have been recently brought home and have not had any formal training, we address issues such as potty training, leash pressure, discipline, reward, play, and most importantly - how to get your puppy to calm down!
E-Collar Training
We offer E-Collar training services to give you bulletproof recall and off leash reliability. Using an E-Collar is the most direct and clear communication that you can have with your dog - up to a mile away! Whether you're looking for off leash reliability or to correct behavioral issues, this is the gold standard!
