As my mom's Alzheimer's has progressed, she reached a point where she could no longer manage her medications or food on her own. With the passing of my dad, she also felt the sharp sting of loneliness. It was time to get some help for her. Bark connected me with Dianne at Gentle Family Home Care. Dianne has been extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating as we have needed to frequently shift and change the program while figuring out what works best for my mom. Dianne responds quickly, professionally, and always with a smile in her voice. The PSWs are also very pleasant, patient, and helpful, and they have been very caring with my mom, even when she is having a tough day. With them there, I can be assured that my mom is getting her medications consistently and on time, and that she is eating regularly and safe in her home. She has someone to talk to, and to keep her company while she watches her favourite shows or listens to her favourite music. What do you love most about your job?
We loved our job but most of all, we enjoyed the relationship and bond we shared with our clients. We looked forward on a daily basis knowing that we’re able to help our seniors and allowing family caregivers the well needed break they require to take care of themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My inspiration to start my own business was knowing that I’m able to provide excellent and quality care for seniors and those in need of assistance. Many of our seniors prefers to remain in the comfort of their homes.

No, our services cannot be provided online or remotely. We’re a home care business, therefore we need to provide our services in the comfort of your home.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of our caregivers are fully vaccinated and required to wear their mask while in the clients home. Our care givers also sanitized their hsnds prior to entering each clients’ home.
