What do you love most about your job?
I love the day an owner stops being the one holding it all up. I've worked those 70-hour weeks and watched people I knew pay for it in their marriages and their health, so I get to fix what I wish someone had fixed for me. I like the work itself too: pricing, numbers, crew, systems, the real problems of a real business. And I love watching an owner go from being completely overwhelmed to having a business that runs on its own systems, and getting their life back.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a business coach while I ran Sunburst Shutters & Closets, and it changed how I ran it. That's what pulled me into coaching. I've lived the 60 to 80 hour weeks and watched owners I knew pay for it in their marriages and their health, so I wanted to be the coach I'd have wanted: someone who has run a real business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I've done what you're trying to do. At Sunburst I took my personal sales from under $300K to $900K, then $1.2 million a year, was offered a partnership, bought my partner out, owned the company outright, and exited. We won Homestars Best Of in 2019, 2020 and 2021. I cut fixed overhead 80% and lifted gross margin 15%. I coach you through Chaos. Control. Freedom., you do the work, and programs start at $997 a month. Every program begins with a 90-minute Business Deep Dive, $497, where we evaluate the business and start your strategic plan. It's an extra session on top of the program you choose. If you commit to 4 months, the Deep Dive is included and my 17-week guarantee applies. Either way, you can stop with 30 days' written notice. The first thing we do is find where your profit is leaking, so what you pay for coaching comes back to you in pricing, extras and quotes, and stays after we're done.

Yes. All my coaching is remote, so I work with owners across Canada. We start with a free 15-minute fit call (please call or text 604-328-9309, or book at effectuscoaching.group/contact), then a free 45-minute coaching session on Zoom. If it's a fit and we work together, we start with a 90-minute Business Deep Dive where we evaluate your business and start your strategic plan. After that, every session is a Zoom with me, and you leave with notes and a plan. Between sessions you can call me whenever you want one, and you get homework support and text support.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Everything I do is online, so there's no travel or in-person contact. Coaching happens by video call and text.
