Plus we heard very good comments from the folks at Sandy Cove, Innisfil, where he does contract work. We were not disappointed. Recently, a mature fir tree in our backyard blew down in high winds. The tree fell partially onto our neighbour’s property. I knew to call Adamson Tree Experts for help, as they had previously done excellent work for us. Including removal of four dying ash trees, followed by stump grinding. At a reasonable cost. As for the fallen fir tree, despite my call being late on a Friday afternoon, owner Randy Adamson promptly directed his crew to our property, while the crew was in the midst of heading back to their shop to wind up their work week. Within minutes of my call, the three-man crew arrived, with full equipment. The friendly, experienced team promptly cut the fallen tree into two lengths, removed and chipped each length, with limbs fully intact, with the use of their powerful brush chipper rig. Followed by a thorough clean-up of debris. The job was efficiently completed, from start to finish, within 45 minutes of the crew’s arrival. At a fair cost. Like many homeowners, we found ourselves in an emergency situation. This situation was a very large Honey Locust tree in our back yard that had split, was compromised, and imminent to fail. The vey next morning, after reaching out to Adamson late in the afternoon the day before, someone was onsite to assess and quote. I was given options, advice, and a timeline.When the team arrived and completed the job for us, all I can say is that I was impressed. I was impressed with their knowledge, planning, skill, and attention to detail; heck, as one of the guys was standing around waiting for his next task, he fired up the leaf blower to clean the leaves in our backyard!This was an emergency situation for us, unplanned and unexpected. This job required employing an 80 ton crane, due to the boom length to reach from our driveway, over our house, and up above the tree to dissect it in very large pieces, hoist up the climber (tree monkey) and then boom it up and over our houses to process it out front.For a large scale operation like this with risk, I was pleased that I didn't even have to ask for any documents. Tree and Stump Removal
When a tree suffers damage that is beyond repair, from broken limbs to root rot and everything in between, it can pose a serious threat to both people and nearby property. Although tree removal is a last resort, there are certain circumstances when it may be necessary. Removal is an ideal solution when the tree is:
a) dead or dying
b) irreversibly diseased, decayed, or damaged
c) crowding or harming nearby trees
d) located in an area where nearby construction requires removal
Once the tree has been removed, we can grind out the stumps to the desired depth to cover with topsoil and sod or seed.
Corrective Pruning
Corrective pruning includes the removal of dead, diseased, or unwanted limbs and branches, thinning, lifting weight off the ends, and flushing stubs to the collars. A tree that receives the appropriate pruning measures while it is young will require less corrective pruning as it matures. A good structure of primary branches should be established while the tree is young. These limbs, called scaffold branches, becomes a mature tree's framework.
Aeration and Fertilization
Aeration and fertilization is completed with a slow releasing fertilizer to feed the trees and allow increased air and moisture to reach their roots. By aerating and fertilizing your trees, this will help produce new roots and foliage for a healthier tree.
Cabling and Bolting
The cabling and bracing procedure involves the installation of a variety of cables around the branches and trunk to stabilize the weakened or damaged branches. This is usually a non-invasive procedure. However, if the tree has suffered a severe crack or split, a cable will need to be installed into its structure for added support. While cabling and bracing does not fully repair a tree, it will significantly prolong the tree's life span as it does not constrict the branches and allows them to grow naturally around the supporting cables.
Cavity and Wound Treatment
Cavity and wound treatments are used on trees that have wounds or cavities either on the trunk or branches where moisture or insects can enter the tree and cause rot or harm the tree. By treating the wounds or cavities, this will stop any further rot and start the healing process.

There are many situations in which you might need to take advantage of our construction tree services as you move forward with your project. For example, if you survey the job site and there are many large trees that are going to get in the way of your plan, our team can safely remove the trees completely and clear the property for your build right down to removing the stumps. House and Building Clearance
Typically in a residential area, we clear trees to prevent sap from harming the shingles and roof, or in the case of damaging storms that can cause limbs to fall near or on a home due to wind, or weight of ice and snow loads. Commercially, we also want to clear trees back from buildings to prevent storm damage but also to allow proper ventilation of commercial buildings to prevent back flow of gas into the building.
