Cannot fault USM! I am over the moon with my new porcelain bench tops! It looks amazing. The whole process has been seamless. The entire team are friendly, genuine, knowledgeable, patient and responsive to any requests and questions. The installers were professional, had an eye for detail and cleaned up after themselves better than some professional cleaners!! What do you love most about your job?
I was a store manager for "Safeway" K.A Woolworths over 20 years ago and was given an opportunity by my Father In Law to create something from scratch with my professional management skills and his stone masonry skills combined we formed United Stone Melbourne nearly 20 years ago and i can say that with all the challenges, every year feels like a new challenge and a new job which keeps me motivated. I personally was the first in Australia to pre manufacture an overlay benchtop in a factory environment and just complete an installation onsite without using our clients home as a factory, first in Australia to manufacture and install a 12mm engineered stone, first in Australia to Laser Template an overlay benchtop, first in Australia to manufacture and install a Porcelain Benchtop which makes me proud to have taken the right steps and be innovative. We complete our jobs absolutely stress free for our clients with the Laser Templating, Waterjet CNC cutting for all our customers and using the most advanced Biesse CNC machinery for all our cabinetry work perfects the entire process.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Family! I've always been a leader in all of my roles, i started working at a very early age too! My first job was polishing shoes at the front of the blue mosque in Türkiye at the age of 4!!. We moved to Australia 40 years ago and legally (apart from helping my father sand back cars down as he was a panel beater on the weekends) was Red Rooster at the age of 13. I lied about my age just so i didn't have to sand cars down on the weekends for my dad, i had an excuse, i had to work ?. I was the youngest Duty Manager at the time for Safeway, now K.A Woolworths and a Store Manager by 21. I've always had leadership skills and my father in law gave me a great opportunity nearly 20 years ago to use my skills in my own business.
