If so, you are likely eligible for FREE business mentoring support through the Self Employment Assistance Program.
The Self-Employment Assistance Program is funded by the Australian Federal Government and is aimed at assisting current and aspiring business owners, providing a range of support services to meet their needs of setting up or running a successful small business.
Eligibility: To engage in the Self-Employment Assistance Program, You must:
* be at least 15 years of age (noting that a person must be 18 years of age to access Small Business Coaching)
* be an Australia citizen, or the holder of a permanent visa, or a nominated Visa Holder (including a New Zealand Special Category Visa, Temporary Protection Visa Holder and a Safe Haven Visa Holder)
* not be an undischarged bankrupt
* meet any additional criteria specific to the chosen Service(s).
If You are already self-employed or have a business idea, Transcend Services will work with You to assess if Your business or business idea is eligible.
The program’s flexibility allows You, if eligible, to choose the support that best fits Your needs to start or run a successful small business.
Business Health Check
The Business Health Check service is specifically designed to help you take control of your business and secure even better results. Using the service, Transcend will help you identify the ‘weak links’ in your business and define a plan to improve performance.
The Business Health Check reviews and identifies opportunities for improvement for each of the following perspectives:
- Strategy and Leadership
- Finance and Operations
- Sales and Marketing, and
- Delivery and Staff
Operational Performance Review
Having developed your plan for improvement, the key thing that most business owners lack is the discipline to review business performance on an ongoing basis.
Having assisted you to build the plan, your Transcend advisor meets with you every month or quarter, as agreed, to keep you accountable to your Plan, KPI’s and financials.
The Transcend advisor will facilitate the review and provide an action plan of what needs to be achieved by the next meeting.
Business Planning
Assistance in writing a business plan or a plan to commercialise a product - one that can be followed easily and that can be altered as your business grows or comes across challenges.
