I moved into a lovely two-bedroom apartment in July without any furniture so I really wanted to make it feel special with new furniture. I started looking for an interior designer and came across Julie’s name online. From the moment I met her, she was down-to-earth, friendly, and so easy to talk to. I felt comfortable sharing my ideas, and never felt silly—Julie just got it. She fine-tuned my thoughts and always checked in before moving forward with anything. Even though my project was a small one compared to others she was working on, she made time for me and fit me in. I was given access to a portal and kept updated at every step—design options, delays, deliveries—you name it. If I wasn’t completely happy with something, Julie would go out of her way to find an alternative. Communication was always open and easy. Julie really went above and beyond. I had a sofa on order before I started working with her, and she even went out of her way to get a swatch from the store to ensure everything else would coordinate perfectly. When needed, she had items delivered to her own home to keep them safe until they were ready for my space. Once everything was in place, she even came by just to sit down, chat, and check how I was feeling about it all. Julie is not only talented and professional—she’s genuinely a lovely and personable interior designer. What’s your interior design process?
We start our process with an Initial Consultation so we can discuss your project, get to know you and work out a plan of how we can assist.
This is followed up with a Design Proposal which outlines the scope of work, a fee estimate and time frames.
Once the Proposal is accepted we start with a Design Concept that will encompass the direction and feel of the project. Once the Concept is established, depending on how involved the scope of work is, we continue with the development of the project.
Each project is individual to the client so the processes will vary, hence the importance of the Initial Consultation.

We are able to create a desired style based on your individual needs.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the ever changing challenges presented with each and every new client. I love using quality products and seeing the space come together. I love working with clients that are willing to step outside their comfort zone and be led down a different path than they would have gone themselves, to then fall in love with the end product.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been self employed for over 15 years and wouldn't have it any other way. I have always had a high standard of work ethic and creativity so when the time was right it was the natural step for me to take - to own my attention to detail, work hard and have the satisfaction that I am creating my own destiny in my own, flexible manner.
