This is the second function Catered by Matt has done for me and it was "stellar". From the time of planning Matt and his staff were extremely professional and very accommodating to the needs of the event. The food was exceptional and the comments from guests was that each canape served was different, unique and delicious. The catering added a very special element to our birthday celebrations. We were honestly blown away by the food, service and whole experience! Everything was planned to perfection and so seamless! The food was literally to die for!! We had the salmon and chicken as our mains - both of which were super moist and bursting with flavour! We got 3 sides which were also all incredible! We engaged Catered by Matt to cater for our daughter’s 21st birthday.They were professional, easy to deal with, friendly and very responsive to our needs. We had a party for 46 friends -- mainly aged 60+ but some younger people as well. It proved to be an excellent evening, partly due to the quiet, efficient and very friendly service by Matt's team of Vinny, Lucio and Calum. The food was canapés. some substantial, and they were excellent. Everyone said so. They kept glasses filled, as requested. And before leaving they tidied up, washed dishes and left everything tidy and unbroken! They fitted in very well to the kitchen and other areas, without intruding on the festivities. Vinnie cut up the cake I'd brought in, and served it, and they offered to help in any way we wanted. So no wonder we give Catered By Matt a five-star review. And on top of that they left US a bottle of superior wine to say thank you to US !! I meant to give THEM a bottle each! Next time, maybe! We recently had Matt’s team do a buffet catering event (my partner’s 30th birthday) and it was absolutely amazing!! As soon as we enquired on the website, Jess called us to help us through the menu and scheduled a call with Matt. The communication in the lead-up and post-event was so professional and made everything so easy and stress free. The buffet catering on the day was NEXT LEVEL! First time having an in-home event catered...but it won't be the last. First and foremost the food was amazing! The oven baked salmon and the beef fillet were melt in your mouth. Side dishes all prepared to perfection. The staff on the day (George & Martin) were there but not there. They just moved about seamlessly attending to everything that needed attending to, but at the same time you didn't realise they were there. The extra food was packed away and the dishes and glassware were all carefully cleaned. It was absolutely worth the cost to be able to enjoy the function without being in the kitchen preparing food and best of all the clean up was done. I held my partner’s birthday celebration last Saturday in our home and used Catered by Matt for food and drinks service. We decided on the Premium Canapé experience. Every one of our guests could not stop raving about the food, which was spectacularly created by Chef Matt. The service staff, Martin, James, Joaquin and Alex were outstanding.
