We engaged HyggeHomey for their staging services for an apartment which we had been intending to rent out. Nicole and her team were professional, very responsive, and thoughtful throughout the duration of the engagement. We selected the Glam Sophisticate design package which we felt was classic and timeless, with a modern touch. Initially we were skeptical about spending a not-so-small amount of money for "just" furniture staging. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the aptitude of the team and the end result. The investment in the staging paid off, as after uploading the professional photos taken, we received several requests for viewing. The first tenant viewed the apartment in person and was so surprised by the staged apartment that they even double checked if the apartment was not just the showflat unit, and that was indeed the actual apartment for rent. They liked the apartment so much that they put the offer to rent the apartment the very next day, and, to secure the place, they had offered an even higher rent than we were asking. The tenant was so keen to move in quickly, that we even had to cut short the 1-month staging furniture rental to accommodate the move-in date (a happy problem which we welcomed). The staging and keen eye for detail and design helped us and potential tenants to visualise the space and better imagine living in and interacting with the apartment. We firmly believe that the staging brought out the best potential in the space and was instrumental in our ability to rent out the apartment, with good yield, in the middle of a pandemic. My family has known Nicole for years now and it was a no brainer to engage her as our ID when we knew she started Hygge Homey. Nicole was after all, known to have an impeccable and unique sense of style. True to expectation, Nicole not only listened, she also advised on how to design a beautiful and functional home. She goes the extra mile to source for pieces that would suit the home. Till today (2 years after our partnership), Nicole still contacts us each time she comes across an idea/piece that shouted our names. For that, we are grateful. I was looking for home staging and i contacted 3 different home stagers. Out of the 3, only 1 came down to look at my unit to determine the type of furniture that can match with my existing furnishings and strategize how to bring out the best for my unit. Nicole from HyggeHomey was the only one who made the effort to visit my unit. And it was only HyggeHomey that could confirm with me the exact furnishings that they would be using. The other 2 stagers have told me that what I would be getting would depends on what stock they had at that moment. From there it was a no brainer. There was no way that I am going to pay for some rojak or leftover furnishings that was available. I cannot leave anything to chance and I had to make sure that I am getting the BEST and most SUITABLE MATCHING furnishings in order to beautify my unit to the max. The curator Nicole is a perfectionist and has an eye for detail. She insisted on coming over to my unit personally (again) to oversee everything on the actual move in day of the staging stuff. She adjusted almost every piece of furniture and accessories to make sure they were EXACTLY where she wanted them to be. HyggeHomey charges slightly more than the other 2 stager that I have enquired with but they are worth every dollar that you pay for. Guess what? My unit found a buyer on what is traditionally a slow month for property sales - the 1st week of the Chinese ghost month (August 2019). What are you still waiting for??? More...

Our kickstart process is preferably with sharing of your floor plan, followed by a conversation over the phone – nothing beats a voice call and video call – to learn about your challenges and requirement as a home seller/landlord OR your family's evolving needs for your new home-to-be.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We specialised in a wide range of styles, from Bauhaus Modernist to Luxury Contemporary. We believe in sourcing for the best of home accessories to out the best of what a home can bring for our clients! Our Property Staging Designs are LIVE case studies of our beliefs. It then goes without saying that for homeowners, your input will enable us to customise it further to your preference!
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to understand the growing needs of every home sellers and/or landlords as well as homeowners. Through our understanding, that we may enhance their sale and/or lease as well as their lifestyles within their homes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Growing up, our siblings and cousins would be off to each other's homes during the school holidays. It was our version of a staycation every 6 months for years to come. Being in relatives' homes intrigued me greatly how different home settings can bring about interesting effects to a person's perspective in life. Little did I know these staycations would be hugely formative. This enthusiasm of staying in a home away from home grew into somewhat of a love for very different interiors and alongside it, the furniture within. Now, with the opportunity to create the potential joy and wellness in an interior, I am committed to creating as much beneficial effects for my clients as I can potentially have with their homes.
