Elena is kind and warm and puts people at ease. Sometimes maybe all we need is someone who provides a safe space, really listens, asks insightful questions to understand better, and helps one get clarity. Elena was able to approach me in a gentle manner, and she was patient during our sessions together. She allowed the conversations to flow naturally, and did not interrupt me while I was unpacking my week. She listened thoughtfully, and often asked me questions that helped me redirect my inner thoughts back on track - helping me understand my emotions better. I would like to thank her for making our sessions feel safe, and for offering real advice with me whenever I shared what was going on in my life. She doesn’t force you to think positively. Rather, she helped me navigate my negative thoughts, and gave me the space to be frustrated or angry and confused with my emotions. From what I shared, she would make me see clearly what triggered me to feel this way, and we would think of action plans for the following week - to track my emotions. I found that I was better able to express my thoughts, and grew more self aware during our sessions. This allowed me to heal at pace that was comfortable to me, and become positive at my own terms. Elena has been patient, compassionate, and dedicated, applying the highest quality of therapeutic professionalism and commitment as a therapist and coach in my journey of recovery and transformation. When I think back to the first session when I set my goals and visions to achieve holistic health and wellness, I did not dare imagine what I would achieve in less than a year after working with a previous therapist for many years. She was gentle in her support and encouragement in exploring different tools and skills to have an arsenal to manage my anxieties and fears that loomed over me and frequently threatened to overwhelm me.
