Total 5 star experience. Ruslan and his team came over to do our front wall re-render and painting and they did an incredible job. The team came recommended from a friend and Ruslan communicated super clearly through the whole process and listened to everything we were looking for. The quote was also super fair after we had received some extortionate prices from competitors. We had a slight issue with the wall after and Ruslan came back to fix it immediately and the problem never rose again which is exactly the service you would hope for. Bily Renovation recently renovated and decorated our flat in Edinburgh’s New Town, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From our first meeting and estimate, communication was excellent throughout. Ruslan suggested setting up a WhatsApp group early on, which proved invaluable. Even though his team speaks limited English, this was never an issue—Ruslan kept us updated daily with messages and photos, especially when we weren’t able to be on site. The quality of the workmanship and finish exceeded our expectations, even in the face of unexpected complications. When removing the wallpaper revealed hidden mould, Ruslan dealt with it calmly, thoughtfully, and efficiently. He provided a fair estimate for the additional work and kept everything on track. The renovation included extensive plastering, and the preparation and painting of woodwork, ceilings, and walls throughout the flat. We were particularly impressed by how seamlessly they blended new cornicing with the original—no easy task, as an exact match wasn’t possible. The plastering work deserves special mention, showcasing a level of craftsmanship we understand to be influenced by traditional Ukrainian techniques. We were so confident in their work that, a few weeks later, we asked them to re-tile the hall floor. This too was completed with the same precision and care. Our only small criticism—one we discussed with Ruslan—was that more care could have been taken to cover furniture and floors during the plastering stage. Unwillingly, thanks to Wren kitchen supplier's mistakes, we ended up being a bit of a challenging client, and our project ended up taking a whole month to finish. But Ruslan and Alex were absolute pros—super patient, professional, and caring. They fit us into their busy schedule and worked around all the changes. They even saved my favorite tiles and the wallpaper! The quality of the installation was top-notch. Bily Renovation completed a kitchen remodelling, painting walls & ceiling, floor installation for our old kitchen and turn it into the most lovely place in our home. The task was not easy as our requests were not popular in Scotland and got rejected by other kitchen companies. Yet, Bily and his team are very good at looking for solutions after carefully listened to our needs and limitations. I recently engaged Ruslan Bily to decorate my flat in Stockbridge. I was away with work at the time and was very nervous about leaving my flat in the hands of someone I had never met! I needn’t have worried, Ruslan did a fantastic job of decorating my flat - painting walls, ceilings and woodwork. He went beyond my expectations and his pricing was very fair. Ruslan and his team are a breath of fresh air! Just as he promised, Ruslan was dedicated to "doing the job right" and went the extra mile to fix up little things as he found them. He was very straightforward to work with. He and his team delivered everything we wanted with a minimum of fuss within the timescales discussed and for the agreed budget. Good email communication meant that clarifications were easy and there were no misunderstandings on project scope. We asked him to paint 3 rooms and lay a wooden floor. All done to a very professional standard. They were willing to "experiment" for us - we wanted to see if our hall wallpaper could take a paint covering before resorting to stripping and repainting. Ruslan and the guys did a great job here. They were also willing to help in other ways - volunteering to collect materials and insisting on manhandling a heavy sofa upstairs for us (not part of their job at all!).
