RJ responded to my query within an hour of posting.
He inspected the roof, which needed 2 beams to be replaced and we received the very reasonable quotation on the same day.
RJ was professional, friendly and knowledgeable and advised us on what the process would be.
It would be done in phases over 2 days to avoid leaving the roof exposed.
Work commenced within 2 weeks and his employees were competent, professional and friendly.
The site was left clean on completion of the job.

I was initially very impressed with the level of service received at the beginning of the process in terms of how quickly we received a response ,when requesting a quote and the follow up on this. However was extremely disappointed at the level at which this company operates once the work started. Job of replacing roof tiles took longer than what we were quoted, which we accepted as we wanted the job done properly and not rushed to fit a timeline. However on the very first night a section of the roof was left completely open, which is a very high security risk as anyone could have entered my home very easily thought this open section which was also very visible from the road. The staff who did the job could not cover the section left incomplete when they left for the evening as they did not have enough material and were told to make do with what they have. I immediately contacted RJ who did not respond to my message until then next morning with the response that job would be completed on the day, which it was not. We ended up spending extra money to purchase additional roof tiles as this had not been catered for in the quote. Again workers on site were told to salvage and use old tiles as extra new tiles was not quoted for. The AstroTurf on my property was left damaged with cement and construction material used and not cleaned up at all. Ceiling inside was damaged on 2 spots which we reported but was not fixed. I am lost for words on this review feedback. Clients never read there quotations properly and complain they had to pay additional cost when i staded clearly in my quotation the conditions. There is also no allownce for rubble removal in my quotation. So why these points is brought up is mind blowing. As contractors i deal with a lot of clients and believe me to satify everybody is not possible. People are so quick to complain. BUT HEY THE ROOF WAS COMPLETED PERFECTLY AND NEAT TO SABS STANDARDS. So this review is not worthy of my project completion. Sorry Samantha i think you are complaining because of sake of complaining. Really!!

Just like Tara, Hardstone Constructions repaired my roof of leakages. The same places, after the rain in June still showed the same leakages. RJ promised to come and fix, promises after promises... He never shows up. He is quickly for getting the money and after he has it, he does not bother anymore for service... People watch out for this company!

More than that... the company leaves the place dirty, you know construction dirt, which is difficult to clean! And they seem to work with inferieur material. People said that an amateur has been been working at my place!

I would not recommend this company for doing services! Not reliable. For me, just after money. More...

I don't like to leave bad reviews but entire roof was replaced and now that it has begin to rain, there is 6 leaks as well as a hole in the sealing that was just left like that and was told that we have to fix

Greetings. It amazes me how the review from this client has come about. I bent backwards for this client and even lowered my quotation and did additional work with out asking additional fee. When My back is turned on the project the client takes my guys of the scope of work and makes them do work that is not in the scope. So when i get back on site i see my scope is not being worked on. I lost man hours on this job because of this client. Materials is of high standard and very supprized by this comment. They constantly confronted me to tell me that other works was part of my scope. I a signed Quotation on work that has to be done but was argumentative about it every time. This client wanted a diamond in value but only had money for cubic - Syconia so. I was called out after the project 5 times for rectifications. Out of the 5 two was my needed from my side. Three was not related to my work and i was told it was and again i said revert back the scope on the quotation. As a company i refused as i felt we being abused by the client. So yes i cant make all people happy.

I made an appointment for a quote. They did not keep the appointment and did not bother to cancel

What can i say Tara you owe me over thirty thousand rand and why did we not complete because block my guys from going onto your premises. I have the whatsapp message to prove it. The reason from your husband was of some that was pin pointed by a Zimbabwean that stay on your premises and told a lots of lies as you dont even stay in Cape Town. The photo you send was not completed stage and you listen a that has no clue about roofing. Your review is way out of context and not nearly close to the truth. The fact is clear you owe me Money so why would i run away from a job that is still so much outstanding. REALLY!!!!!! Who reads this review just remember there is two sides to a story. I have all the proof of my response.

Was on time as specified. Very clear about project. Proceeded to execute. Did the job satisfactorily. Kleened up after completion. I am very satisfied.

They were great, arrived when they said they would and completed the job on time and best of all, cleaned up before they left.

RJ replied within hour of me submitting my Request on Bark. Meeting was setup & Quotation received was within my budget. They build Retaining Wall, Boundary Wall, Fitted Sliding Aluminium Door, Fixed my slopped Driveway Paving & Paved my Swimming Pool area & Painted .
Amos, his Foreman onsite is very Trustworthy & Approachable. All extra work was quoted for & extra men was just brought in to complete, no hassle.
