I engaged a duo, consisting of a Singapore wedding singer/ bilingual Malay emcee(Jamiel), and a saxophonist from Melody Central for my wedding. Melody Central (Jamal) was amazing as a solo musician and singer at my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. He turned up on time and brought good equipment, and really was interested in what type of music that we liked. He has a great voice and really engaged with the crowd. He was also welcoming of my friend doing a duo with him for the occasional song and we all ended up singing with him at the tailend to mark our celebrations! Hired Melody Central for our wedding reception as emcee back in June 2023. Jamiel Said responded to my inquiry almost immediately and it was smooth sailing from then on. He uplifted the vibe in the ballroom with his funny jokes and making sure that our event didn't overrun by making announcements at the appropriate time given. Jamiel even sang live for our 2nd march-in and it was a memorable moment for us as bride and groom. We hired an external sound system from Jamiel for our wedding banquet dinner at ParkRoyal Collection Marina Bay. He always replies fast and is able to sort things out quickly. On the actual day Jamiel was very early and we were able to set up our sound system ahead of schedule. It helped give us a peace of mind as we did not have to worry about time constraint, and had more than enough time with our rehearsals and sound checks. Jamiel showed up like the consummate professional. While he was preparing his set up he played some background music to manage the awkwardness of it all and when he opened the performance with my fav song I knew that the right performer was chosen for my spouses birthday celebration. Extremely obliging, accommodating with never a no in his vocabulary he put the guests at ease with his easygoing persona and his humility. We rented a speaker for the fun event, the equipment we used was good without any problems, all the attendees were satisfied with the beautiful music with the speaker we rented, so I can say that we will rent it again and can recommend it to others acquaintance

Jamiel was very accommodating regarding the genres we requested for my husband's fortieth. They covered pop, soft rock and classic rock.

He was also timely in turning up and professional.

Jamiel has a beautiful voice and involves the audience to partcipate whenever they know a song, while anchoring and guiding them in terms of beat, tempo and scale.
We had a lot of children between ages 1-8 years and he was considerate of the young ones and even threw in some nursery rhymes and was engaging around the boisterous older children and offering to sing some of their favourites.

Engeged Jamiel for a performance during our wedding. He was extremely accomodating and able to belt out some of our favourite songs such as Eric Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight'. The other songs which he selected were also spot on. He has a great singing voice which one of my guest described as being calm and soothing, perfect for any occasion. He sings well in both English and Malay and has even released a few singles. You can check them out on spotify!! 'Nafas ku', 'Cincin di Jari' and even a Teresa Teng/ P Ramlee remix..! My wife & I first knew Jamiel's music from attending many of his live performances during our dating days. We simply love the emotions and sentimental feelings he brings into his performances. In Nov 2019, when we got married, we knew we wanted to engage Jamiel to sing live at our banquet and he duly agreed! He was so responsive and responsible to our texts and requests. And he even suggested romantic songs he could sing, and we could make the decisions based on our preferences.
