To give the person who is a full time or part time carer for someone a break and do the daily tasks as required. To also take client out for trips or a cuppa.
Help make a shopping list and either assisted or unassisted shopping for anything you need. This could include food shopping, paying bills and anything in-between and we can also help put the shopping away, if needed.
For all or any sessions that require you to go in a car. This includes - appointments, outings, shopping or anywhere you want or need to go.
Assisting with everyday household tasks such as dishwashing, light dusting, changing sheets on the bed, washing sheets, clothes, towels and any other items they need to be washed. Cleaning vanity unit, shower, wiping cupboards, vacuum and mop floors.

Due to the high level of risk associated with my nan continuing to live at home without adequate support, we made the difficult decision to transition her into a nursing home. At that time, I was residing out of state, but upon realizing the gravity of the situation, I made the choice to return home and assist in caring for her in the nursing home setting. If I had possessed the knowledge and resources I have today, she could have potentially remained in her own home for a longer period of time. Regrettably, I was not fully aware of the severity of the circumstances, and by the time I could arrange my return, she had already been relocated to the nursing home.

It is my utmost priority to support their desire to remain in their own homes for as long as it is deemed safe and appropriate. All of our support workers have successfully completed comprehensive Infection Control training specifically focused on COVID-19. In adherence to our stringent protocols, any support worker experiencing symptoms is required to promptly undergo testing. In the event of a positive result, they must continue to test daily until they receive a negative result before resuming their duties. These measures reflect our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and staff, as we prioritize maintaining a healthy and secure environment.
