What I love most is being trusted with the moments that matter. Whether it is a wedding, an elopement, a pre formal or a family session, I get to witness real connection. The quiet nerves before a bride walks down the aisle, a dad’s proud smile, siblings laughing between poses. I do not just take photos. I capture feeling. Years from now, when my clients look back at their gallery, I want them to remember exactly how it felt in that moment. Being part of that story is something I never take for granted.
Captured by Katherine grew from a deep love of storytelling and people. I have always been drawn to observing connection and the in between moments that often go unnoticed. Starting my own business gave me the freedom to build something personal and intentional. I wanted to create an experience where clients feel comfortable, guided and genuinely cared for, not rushed or treated like just another booking. Over time, it has become more than a business. It is a reflection of my values, warmth, professionalism and capturing love beautifully and honestly.
Clients choose me because I bring both heart and structure to every shoot. I am warm and easy to work with, but also highly organised and experienced. Weddings especially move quickly, and I know how to gently lead, manage timelines and keep things calm while still capturing authentic emotion. You will receive clear communication, detailed planning beforehand, sneak peeks within 24 to 48 hours, and a thoughtfully edited final gallery. I care deeply about delivering images that feel timeless, elegant and full of life. Not overly posed, but beautifully guided.
Yes. While I photograph in person across Brisbane and South East Queensland, much of my client experience can be managed remotely. I offer video consultations before weddings or sessions to plan timelines, locations and family photo lists. Contracts, invoices and galleries are delivered online through secure systems, making the entire process seamless and convenient. For corporate clients, I can also assist with branding direction, shot lists and planning remotely before attending on site to capture the imagery.
Client safety has always been important to me. I follow current Queensland Health guidelines and will reschedule sessions if anyone is unwell. I maintain appropriate hygiene practices, keep a respectful distance where needed, and am flexible with outdoor locations which naturally allow for space and fresh air. My communication is clear and proactive so clients feel confident and comfortable throughout the entire experience.
