I had a very disappointing experience with Just About Cleaning. Not only is the service overpriced, but the standard of cleaning dropped quickly after the first few visits. When I requested to stop the service, I was informed of a three-month notice period, which was never made clear upfront and feels unreasonable.On top of that, the hours charged were not consistent with the actual time spent, which I was able to confirm by reviewing CCTV footage. This business sends constant unsolicited emails (spam), harassing small business and begging for them to use their cleaning services. I ignore emails like this, but this business takes that as an invitation to send further emails, asking why you've not responded to them. Unbelievable. SPAM me again and you'll be reported to ACMA for violating the law around communication. I've had to block their email.Since writing this review and receiving the copy and paste insincere response, I have today found another email from them in my spam mail folder.... the disrespect and arrogance of this company knows no limit. YOU are violating contact and privacy laws. You were told to remove my email address and you have failed. This matter has now been formalised in a complaint to ACMA and the ACCC. As I've had quite a few cleaners in my 70+ years, I feel qualified to make a recommendation pertaining to Just About Cleaning. I have yet to come across a friendlier or more accessible company. The boss is never more than a text or phone call away, and his willingness to compromise, altho not expected, has been greatly appreciatedI am absolutely rapt with my cleaner Jess, not just her friendliness but also her cleaning ability. No request, (albeit occasionally outside of her guidelines),has been denied, (without even a rolled eye). If I have needed to change a day and/or time, I have been immediately accommodated.The other day on her way, she asked a somewhat foolish question, (which she could indeed live to regret), 'Is there anything I can do? Most of our team has 15+ years of experience and look forward to making your home or business sparkly and clean! We specialise in housekeeping, Bond Cleaning, Spring Cleaning, Commercial Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning/ Steam Cleaning and Window Cleaning. We also provide services like, Clothes Folding, Washing Dishes, Oven Clean, etc.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Our team arrive equipped with tools and cleaning supplies. If your home has special surfaces that require particular products, or you have certain products you like to use, please make sure you let us know at the time of making a booking.
What do you love most about your job?
Cleaning is hard work, but once it has all finished – you get to see your squeaky-clean masterpiece. There is nothing better than looking at all and seeing how happy your client is when they see their establishment nice and clean!
What inspired you to start your own business?
We, David and Teshani, stumbled into this line of work by chance. After struggling through the first 2 years of parenthood (or sleep deprivation), we decided that we needed a pair of extra hands around the house that used eco-friendly products. We struggled to find a cleaner, and when we did, they were unreliable and used harmful products. It was at this juncture that we decided to found Just About Cleaning. We believe that cleaning is far more than just a job, it's a career that is loaded with potential, flexibility and job satisfaction. It is also an opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment and the health of those around us. As we also own an Eco-Friendly and Australian Made Women's Fashion Label, it was important to us that we used natural cleaning products from the outset within this business. Our natural cleaning products not only help us to clean your home, but they also help it shine. They allow us to do so without emitting harmful chemicals into the environment. Many commercial cleaners rely on harsh and dangerous chemicals to get the job done, including volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. These are linked to a range of medical issues, including respiratory issues, allergic reactions, sensitive skin and headaches. In the next year, Just About Cleaning has plans to hire and train people with an injury, illness or disability... Watch this space...
