Talk Therapy with Eli

Many people come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Some are recovering from past trauma or difficult relationships. Others are weighed down by anxiety, depression, or life transitions that feel impossible to navigate alone. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and support you in creating lasting change so you feel stronger, healthier, and more connected when you leave my office. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychotherapy (with a thesis on Couples Therapy) and a Bachelor degree from Macquarie University. My experience ranges from crisis counselling, helping individuals in suicidal crisis find reasons to live, to supporting people struggling with addictions, and later specialising in anxiety disorders and couples work in private practice. What I’ve learned is that there’s no quick fix or single piece of advice that makes difficulties disappear overnight. But real progress is possible when you have a safe space to talk openly with someone who brings both professional expertise and genuine curiosity. Together, we can work through the complexities of life and help you reconnect with your sense of possibility. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most is witnessing real change in my clients’ lives. Many arrive feeling hopeless—couples often on the brink of divorce—and it’s deeply rewarding to see them leave more connected and healthier in their relationships. Likewise, individuals who come in weighed down by anxiety often find a renewed sense of calm, clarity, and confidence in themselves. Seeing these transformations unfold, sometimes within just a few weeks, is the most meaningful part of my work.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Therapists are often most effective in private practice, where services can be tailored to each individual. Large institutions can struggle to provide this level of personalisation, which is why I began my own practice.

Why should our clients choose you?

Just as athletes or musicians may be born with certain advantages, the same applies to therapists—some have a natural aptitude for the work. I consider myself fortunate to have been born with a strong sense of curiosity, a quality that is essential for effective therapy. A skilled therapist doesn’t provide ready-made answers; instead, they ask the right questions—questions that uncover patterns of behaviour which may interfere with forming relationships, making sound decisions, managing emotions, or communicating effectively.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I provide both in -person and Telehealth sessions to clients around Australia.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

During the height of the pandemic, I adapted my practice by offering secure telehealth sessions and maintaining strict hygiene protocols for in-person work. Now that restrictions have eased, I continue to prioritise client safety and comfort by keeping telehealth available for those who prefer it, while ensuring in-person sessions are held in a clean and professional environment. For me, it’s about giving clients choice and peace of mind.
