We recently had all the radiators replaced throughout the house, some new pipework, one radiator needed moving and one completely removed. HOCU were great, very polite and professional. Put protective covers on the floors etc and made sure it was all clean and tidy when they left. Would highly recommend HOCU and we'll definitely be using them again. Very polite man but lacked communication leading to frustration with service. 1. Not given quote, which wouldn’t have been a problem but when 2 men turn up to fix leaky toilet, we think it’s a bit excessive, so assume we’re going to be given 2 callout charges! Should’ve been told 1 man was apprentice! 2. Told toilet needed a new washer yet he said he didn’t have the correct washer. Found this surprising not to have basic equipment in his large van, especially when he knew what the job was he was coming out for. Were told he would have to come back to fix it. My husband then finds correct washer in our garage, then man coincidentally finds 1 in his van! Was he hoping to charge us for another callout charge? Why didn’t he just tell us he was in a different van without his full equipment? 3. Then he fixes toilet but as he leaves tells us we need new flusher. Flusher worked perfectly ok before he arrived. Assume he’s trying to sell us something we didn’t need? He then left. Very annoyed by now. We later guess flusher broke in his hand as it was 20yrs old which we would have understood.
