Nuisance weeds on patios, driveways, gravelled areas or paths ? Keeping your patios, paths, and driveways clear of weeds throughout the year can be a real challenge. Domestic Total Weed Killers can have some effect, but quite often disappoint with weeds growing back quickly. The treatment I apply is different from the herbicide that I use on your lawn, as it not only kills weeds but also any grass that may be present. It can also prevent regrowth for up to 5 months!
Lawns should regularly be scarified to avoid thatch, a layer of decaying organic matter on top of the root zone. Thatch reduces the availability of moisture and nutrients. The resulting effect is weak growth, leading to a poor quality lawn. Thatch is removed from the lawn’s surface by Scarification using a powerful scarifier, which drives sharp blades just into the thatch. After the scarifier has done its work, the thatch is moved to the of the lawn and then raked and bagged for disposal
