Initial Consultation We start by discussing your ideas, how you would like to use the space and what you’re hoping to achieve. Whether you’re looking for a home office, bedroom, playroom, gym or additional living space, we’ll talk through the possibilities. 2. Survey & Assessment We assess the existing garage and look at important factors such as the structure, foundations, floor level, ceiling height, damp, insulation, access, windows and the existing garage door opening. This helps us identify any potential issues and establish what work will be required. 3. Design & Planning Once we understand the requirements, we can work through the proposed layout and finishes. Depending on the property and the scope of the project, planning permission or Building Regulations approval may be required. We’ll help you understand what needs to be considered before work begins. 4. Preparation & Structural Work The garage is prepared for conversion. This can include removing existing fixtures, addressing damp or other defects, modifying openings and carrying out any necessary structural work. Where required, the garage door opening can be transformed into a properly insulated wall with suitable windows or doors. 5. Floor, Walls & Insulation The floor, walls and ceiling are upgraded to create a warm, comfortable and energy-efficient space. This may involve raising or improving the existing floor, installing insulation and constructing suitable internal walls and ceilings. 6. Windows, Doors & Services New windows or external doors can be installed where required. Electrical work, lighting, heating and other services are then installed to suit the new room and its intended use. 7. Plastering & Internal Finishes Once the main construction and services are complete, the room starts to take shape. Walls and ceilings are plastered and prepared for decoration, with flooring and other finishes installed according to your requirements. 8. Final Finishing Touches We take care of the finishing details to make sure the new space looks clean, professional and ready to use. This can include decorating, flooring, skirting, doors, lighting and other finishing touches. 9. Completion & Handover Before we consider the project complete, we make sure the work has been finished to a high standard and that the space is ready for you to enjoy.
