If “going to the gym” was the answer to our problems, 2/3 of our population would not be overweight, obese, or frustrated by a lack of results! Success is NOT about the gym! It’s about getting the coaching, support, and accountability you need to positively transform your mindset, beliefs, habits, and daily behaviours. That’s what FRESH! is most passionate about, and we do best!

I have been a client of Fresh fitness in their group training classes for 2 yrs. I started on a one month promotion and quickly decided it was the gym for me. I have a gym at my office and at my condo, but I still go out of my way to get to the classes at Fresh with Francis. They are great at motivating me to stick to my workout regime and I've had great results. I like that it's not like an aerobics class where you just follow along. I've tried one on one training before and Francis gives her clients that same kind of attention but in a group setting. She doesn't just give you exercises to do. She is constantly watching and correcting your form to prevent injury and ensure you are working the muscles intended. She gets to know all of her clients and their capabilities so that that she can recommend modifications or challenge you to increase the weights used. They are always introducing new exercises to keep it interesting. She is also always offering up nutrition advice. I did incur an injury during my training and as I was starting to recover, Francis was very careful to ensure I wasn't doing any exercises that would re-aggravate my injury. They also have a massage therapist who is also a trainer there. This is great because he knows which muscles to work on given that week's classes. I'll be honest, if you're looking for a relaxing spa massage with waterfall sounds playing in the background, I've never had one of those at Fresh, but I've never wanted one either. I want to recover from my workouts and eliminate muscle strain so I can keep building my strength and improving my health. The facility itself is very different than a World health or a Gold's gym, I consider it more of a boutique style training studio where you will get to know the staff and they are truly there to help you reach your fitness goals.

Late November I started working with Nate in regards to extreme lower back pain and leg numbness as a result of pushing my physical limits in the gym. Nate carefully worked me through a series of movements to figure out what may be happening and his evaluation matched entirely with my doctors --bulged disc in the lower lumbar spine. Within one week, Nate had me out of excruciating pain and moving without the use of medication to get me through my day. His knowledge and experience in rehabilitating these issues has been beyond impressive and I'm so grateful to be continuing to work with him. As we move forward with personal training, I'm excited to see what I know will be true results in both mobility and muscle gain.

When it comes to achieving fitness goals, I believe in a multi-faceted approach that goes beyond just counting reps and sets. First and foremost, it starts with understanding my client's unique needs, challenges, and lifestyle. From there, we set realistic, achievable goals that are in alignment with what they hope to accomplish, whether it's losing weight, building muscle, or enhancing athletic performance.
My mantra is 'Progress Not Perfection.' Fitness is a journey, and I make sure to celebrate all milestones, big or small, as it's the consistent progress that leads to lasting transformation. We'll work on not just physical training but also nutritional guidance, ensuring that what you put into your body supports your fitness objectives.
Moreover, I always incorporate an element of mental coaching. Your mindset plays a crucial role in achieving any goal, fitness or otherwise. I help my clients break down mental barriers that might be holding them back, teaching them techniques to stay motivated and mentally strong.
Last but not least, I provide ongoing support and make real-time adjustments to the program. This ensures we're always on the right track and allows us to pivot when needed, making the fitness journey adaptable and sustainable.
In essence, it's a comprehensive, customized, and adaptive approach designed to make your fitness goals a living, breathing part of your daily life.
The secret to getting the body of your dreams? There's no magic pill, but there is a formula: it's consistent, targeted effort over time, supported by a holistic approach that considers every aspect of your life. It's what I like to call 'Progress Not Perfection.'
Firstly, it starts with setting realistic and specific goals. Whether you aim to lose weight, gain muscle, or improve performance, you need a target to work towards. Once the goals are set, we craft a personalized fitness plan tailored to your needs and lifestyle. But remember, a workout plan is only as good as your commitment to it.
Nutrition is another massive part of the equation. You can't out-train a bad diet. Together, we'll develop a sustainable nutrition plan that complements your fitness regimen and enhances your results.
Mindset is the linchpin. The body follows where the mind leads. I also incorporate life coaching techniques to help break down mental barriers and instill a growth mindset. This helps you stay motivated and tackle challenges head-on, making the journey to your dream body a lot more achievable.
Last but not least, I provide ongoing support, regularly checking in on your progress and making necessary tweaks to your plan. Remember, change doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen with consistent, deliberate action.
So, in a nutshell, the secret is a comprehensive, balanced approach that values progress over perfection, supported by a tailored program and ongoing coaching. It's not just about looking good; it's about feeling good and living better.
What I love most about my job is the privilege of witnessing real, transformative change in people's lives. It's not just about the numbers on the scale or the weights lifted; it's about helping individuals redefine what they thought was possible for themselves. With my 'Progress Not Perfection' approach, I've seen clients break free from lifelong patterns, develop healthier habits, and become more confident and content in their own skin.
Whether it's helping someone discover the strength they didn't know they had, guiding them towards a more balanced life, or seeing the look on their face when they hit a milestone—they thought was unreachable—that's what fuels me. Each client's journey also enriches my own life experience, making every coaching session as rewarding for me as it is for them.
Also, as a firefighter, I'm in the business of saving lives in more ways than one. The coaching I do complements that beautifully, as it's another avenue to make a meaningful difference. It's not just a job; it's a calling that allows me to contribute positively to the 'Whole Life Experience' of others, and there's nothing I'd rather do.
Starting my own coaching business was a natural progression from my lifelong dedication to service and well-being. As a firefighter, I've seen firsthand the direct impact that poor health choices can have on people's lives. This experience cemented my belief in the importance of preventive care and holistic well-being.
But the real catalyst came from my own journey. Like many of my clients, I've had periods in my life where I struggled to balance my own well-being against the demands of a challenging career. It was during these times that I realized the power of a holistic approach to health—something that respects not just the physical but the mental and emotional aspects as well.
I started my business with the aim of offering something more than just fitness plans or nutrition guidelines. I wanted to provide a 'Whole Life Experience,' a comprehensive approach that doesn't just transform bodies, but changes lives. With over 20 years of coaching under my belt, across multiple disciplines like life coaching, strength training, tactical training, and nutrition, I felt uniquely positioned to bring this vision to life.
And so here we are. Every day, I get to work with amazing people, helping them rewrite their narratives and become the best version of themselves. I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Great question. Clients should choose me because I bring more than just 20 years of coaching expertise to the table. I offer a multi-dimensional, 'Whole Life Experience' that goes beyond the gym or a meal plan. I don't believe in quick fixes or fad diets. My philosophy is rooted in 'Progress Not Perfection,' which means we work on building sustainable habits and making incremental improvements.
I'm not just a certified Personal Trainer, Strength Coach, and Nutrition Consultant; I'm also a certified Life Coach. This enables me to integrate mental and emotional aspects into our work, addressing obstacles that may be rooted in mindset or lifestyle issues. Essentially, we're not just working on your body; we're working on building a better you.
And here's another layer—I'm a firefighter by profession. I understand the value of discipline, teamwork, and resilience, which are key components I incorporate into my coaching. In both fields, I'm in the business of life-saving and life-changing, and there's a lot of synergy between the two that benefits my clients.
So, when you choose me, you're getting a holistic, well-rounded approach that considers every aspect of your life, delivered by someone who's been in the trenches in more ways than one. This isn't just a job for me; it's a commitment to improving your 'Whole Life Experience.
Absolutely, I offer my coaching services both in-person and online to make it as convenient as possible for my clients. Here's how it works:

Life Coaching: Emotional and mental well-being are just as important as physical health. We can cover these topics extensively in our online sessions.
Ongoing Support: Between sessions, I'm available for quick consultations via text or email. This ensures you're supported every step of the way.
Progress Tracking: I use specialized software that allows you to log your workouts, nutrition, and track your progress. This makes it easier for both of us to see where adjustments might be needed.
Flexibility: Online coaching allows us to be more flexible with scheduling. This is particularly beneficial for clients who have fluctuating work hours or travel frequently.
So, whether you're at home, at work, or on the road, I can provide the guidance and support you need to continue making progress towards your goals.
