About

I, the Prinicipal Architect-Urban Designer of my company TEAL - Technology Energy Architecture Laboratory, have more than 20 years’ cumulative experience in research, teaching and professional practice in Architecture and Urban Design/Planning. Majority of my work experience has been with the India offices of global design and engineering corporates. I have worked collaboratively with global Thought Leaders in North America and APAC and have led end-to-end delivery of projects comprising visioning, concept design, design development, project execution, implementation and management.

I have demonstrated significant leadership and influencing skills in successfully leading teams on projects pan India. My project experience comprises a diverse range of typologies including Transit Oriented Development, Mixed Use developments, multi-Family residential, Housing Townships, IT Parks, University Campuses, Commercial, Retail, and Single family residential.

I am also keenly interested in sustainable design practice in architecture and urban design and have completetd my second Master's Degree - M.Sc. in Sustainable Environmental Design at the Architectural Associaton (AA) School of Architecture, London in September 2022. My studies at the AA London were funded by the Chevening Scholarship 2021-22 of the UK Government.

At the AA, I have learnt the science and art of Sustainability, incorporating an understanding of fundamental principles of urban microclimates, energy and urban form, mobility and urban form, along with factors influencing environmental performance of buildings, adaptive architecture, and design for comfort and well-being in a variety of climatic contexts and within the purview of Climate Change. The theoretical and research underpinnings were supported by technology enabled analytical tools to develop a robust and meaningful design in both Architecture and Urban Design domains.

I excel in developing context specific and innovative design solutions and have won recognition in International and National Urban Design and Architecture Competitions. I am a Life Member of the ISOCARP and an Associate Member of the Institute of Urban Designers India. As a registered architect with the Council of Architecture, India I can practice in India.

After returning from London, I am now starting my own practice in design and execution of sustainable architecture, urban design and interior design projects which I believe my firm can deliver with excellence. I and my team are experts in state-of-the-art software tools and we can deliver projects of any scale on time and within budget.
