Q&As

Versatility of being able to do a variety of tasks. Being able to work virtually. Serving others to help make a difference in their professional and personal lives.

I am inspired by the fact that every day is a new day. I really think that there is an opportunity in every day, especially when you’re building a business. You never know what is going to come, and I get really excited when I wake up.

Many people struggle to manage their roles as parents, employees/students or couples. When they look for help, they find the sources as one-sided. The Coaches focus only on outcomes while spiritual leaders focus on spirituality. Where could the balance between practical outcomes and spiritual theories be brought in life? I developed my ManahPrabodh Counselling which takes 360 view of the struggles and looks for filling up the voids in the clients life with helpful and positive ways to make the client feel satisfied.

I provide services online. I also like to meet my clients remotely face-to-face personally with prior appointment.

I encourage online Counselling. For face-to-face Counselling we do follow Covid-appropriate norms - sanitization, temperature check and wearing masks are few to mention.

Services

At ManahPrabodh, we support in understanding and addressing the mental health needs of the individuals, who are awaiting results of COVID tests, confirmed COVID individuals, health care workers working in COVID hospitals and their family members. We aid these individuals in getting reliable information and alleviate their distress.

Online therapy became increasingly popular as people sought professional help to deal with the emotional and mental consequences of the pandemic. Not only is online therapy far more accessible these days, but it has also proven to help those dealing with isolation, depression, anxiety, and even survivor’s guilt.

Online therapy is a great option for those who are unwilling or unable to leave the safety of home. It’s also a better option for those juggling multiple responsibilities, such as parenting, teaching, and remote work.

Some people might find it easier to open up to a therapist when they’re in the privacy and comfort of their own home. So, we provide Online Therapy.

Online Therapy gives the client the flexibility to choose anonymity.

Most of us experience work stress, but too many responsibilities, unrealistic expectations, and personality conflicts at work can lead to an experience of trauma or victimization over time.
Companies have laid off people and expect those who remain to do more work for less pay. New performance measures are adding pressure, and employees are micromanaged. Stress related to new and unrealistic work performance expectations is also increasing. People who see me for support with work related issues and stress have complaints like insomnia, mood swings, binge eating, feelings of disappointment and worthlessness and confusion about why they are unable to meet the demands or expectations placed on them. Many also have physical issues like backpain, fatigue, headache and muscle tensions. To add on to the physical issues, they have family or relationship issues, feeling of isolation, ineffective coping issues.
At ManahProbodh we help you by polishing your coping and communication skills. We use different strategies and tools to instill meaning and purpose in your life which gives you a positive perspective of life. We enhance your skills and help you to learn to identify the thoughts that increase your anxiety and self-doubt. You are further supported to dispute these thoughts and check for reality and bring awareness of self. Relaxation techniques are also taught to help build the coping skills.
Thus, you not only are able to manage the stressful situation but are empowered enough to safeguard yourself from any self-defeating thoughts and instilling confidence.

You are unable to take up things from your family members. You feel there is no one understanding you or caring about you. You are excluded from your family decisions or you feel your view doesn’t matter. This and similar issues are addressed at ManahPrabodh. You might feel the need to talk to someone who can listen and not just preach.
You can freely share your views and feel heard. We understand that how you feel you’re doing at work impacts how you feel at home, that your relationship with your parents when you were young impacts how you identify with your role as a parent, and that often times problems within your marriage overlap with problems in your co-parenting. We will support you in better understanding yourself and insulating you from toxic environment. We will empower you to create a positive impact and influence the family environment effectively
Relationship Counselling (Family Counselling or Couple Counselling) is different from individual counselling. In Relationship Counselling we focus on more on the patterns, dynamics, and environment of the systems the individuals are in. A relational therapist will tune into these various systems the individual is a part of to best understand how to make and sustain change.
Individual Counselling tends to have a narrow focus on the client. The issues that the client brings to the session are generally addressed. We understand that the individual cannot be understood in isolation. They become better versions of themselves when they are able to adapt and influence others around them with their positivity. We identify these dynamics and address their impacts.

Anxiety can be normal in stressful situations such as public speaking or taking a test. Anxiety is only an indicator of underlying disease when feelings become excessive, all-consuming and interfere with daily living. Clients complain about too many thoughts coming to their mind. They are unable to stop this train of thoughts which speeds up. They are unable to sleep well. They are unable to take any decision or even focus on anything. They complain about fatigue.
We at ManahPrabodh help you stop the negative cycles such as these by breaking down things that make you feel bad or anxious. By making your problem more manageable using various psychotherapeutic techniques, we help you change your negative thought patterns and improve the way you feel.
