How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

You may be surprised to find that, at Food4Life Coach, we believe that there is no such thing as a “well-balanced” diet. Foods that may be good for one person may not be suitable for another.

Even if you think that you are eating a healthy diet, chances are you are deficient in many vital nutrients without even knowing it. People lack nutrients for a variety of different reasons, such as a reliance on processed foods, what they drink, lack of exercise, lack of sleep, stress, pollution, and even changes in farming practices over the years.

Long-term sub-optimal nutrition, whatever the cause, is linked to a variety of different diseases and can alter the way our genes work. Therefore, any changes to your diet, good or bad, can have profound effects on your health.

Food4Life is dedicated to helping you find the foods and lifestyle changes that are best for you so that you can reclaim your health and fight, reverse, and prevent disease.

What do you love most about your job?

In short, I love seeing clients improve their health and feel free from pain. My first client was on the verge of going onto long-term sick leave from her firm, but changing her diet, not only enabled her to carry on working, but also give her a much better quality of life. This is when I truly realised how transformative diet was to someone's health and it can be very easy too!

“I suffer from endometriosis, severe pain, vomiting, and nausea. Within the first month of seeing you, my energy levels improved and I no longer have any nausea or vomiting. If I hadn’t changed my diet, as suggested, I don’t think I would have been able to go back to work as I was feeling sick all the time.” (JB, London).

What inspired you to start your own business?

Running my own business means that I can be more flexible with my time. In other words, it provides me the time to listen to your health history and current life story. This enables me to work out the best dietary, lifestyle advice and laboratory tests specifically for you.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am a Nutritional Therapist and Health Coach with over 15 years of clinical practice and with a specialist knowledge of gut health.

I see clients with gastro-intestinal issues, whether they have a medical diagnosis or functional conditions like IBS.

Where necessary, I work in collaboration with medical professions, such as your GP and take into account any medical reports and diagnostic tests clients have undertaken. The service that I offer does not replaces that provided by your GP or Consultant as I am not a doctor.

In fact, I encourage my clients to seek medical advice where appropriate and to compile medical reports undertaken as well as results of endoscopies, colonoscopies and blood analysis so that I can gather all the necessary information to create individualised nutritional programme.

As a Nutritional Therapist, I apply the latest hypotheses and evidence-based research in nutrition and health sciences to you and your symptoms and come up with a diet, lifestyle and (sometimes) supplement plan to support your needs.

I will also bring in some coaching to help you put the recommendations into practice in a meaningful way or to break through whatever barriers that have held you back in past.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I am happy to provide services online via Zoom.
