Qualified teacher of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, and Engineering Sciences. Currently teaching Maths and Science in a School in West London. I am well aware of the teaching methodologies and assessment techniques for different boards like AQA, OCR, and IB. I am a Chemical Engineer with a doctorate from Imperial College London. I am a qualified teacher with a 9-month diploma in Teaching and Learning from the University of Alabama, USA. Being primarily an academician, I have an overall 19 years of professional experience in academia. I was awarded a Gold Medal for my undergraduate studies from the University of Engineering Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. I was the recipient of a distinctive Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS) from Imperial College for a Ph.D. I was awarded the “Science without Border Program” Scholarship for a post-doctorate at the UFRJ, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. I have been teaching Chemical Engineering since 2005. Apart from that I have taught Math, Physics, and Chemistry to A-level, GCSE, and IB students for the past 20 years. My teaching is based on outcome-based education (OBE) where the focus is on the learning achievement of the students instead of just teaching. I have helped students in preparing for the Cambridge and Oxford admission exams. In my view, a great teacher is like a great artist who uses basic tools to transform raw materials into valuable assets of society. However, great artists may not have the best tools or skills – they are recognized because of their passion and their unique perspective of the world. That is the difference between an artist and an artisan. Teaching is similar. Great teachers are not just ones who transmit information, teach skills, and help students earn the best grades. They are those who share their passion for knowledge and curiosity with their students, inspire the students' creativity, develop their critical thinking ability, and prepare them for the complex world they will face after stepping off campus.

At school, I was always eager to share ideas with my classmates. I still remember when my Mathematics teacher in 10th standard asked me to solve and explain a simple algebraic problem in front of the whole class. I found it very exciting to explain the problem to my classmates and answer their queries the stepwise solution. I have always been interested in joining the profession of teaching. I view teaching as an investment in the students for the benefit of humanity. I have greatly enjoyed the teaching opportunities which I have had and look forward to teaching as part of my academic career.
