  • Auto Electrician - Auto electricians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in vehicles. This includes cars, motorhomes, motorcycles, HGV’s and agricultural vehicles. Commercial electricians also work with landlords to ensure a building passes all the necessary safety tests.

  • Domestic Electrician - Domestic electricians work on projects around the home such as installing plug sockets, lighting, electric showers, hot tubs or larger jobs such as electrical rewiring. They may also work alongside other tradespeople including plumbers or builders.

How to check an Electrician's credentials

Every electrician should carry an I.D card that states their qualifications. They may also be registered with an official body such as the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA). Only certified electricians can carry out work in your home or commercial premises.
