First, I worked in a job doing engineering surveying for 15 years which was great.

The problem here was I had to leave my wife Janine and two kids Louise and Tom on a regular basis which wasn't working for us.

My wife Janine had worked in a Finance company with her dad and I was always super impressed with the energy and camaraderie of the small business wheel, the other people in finance and insurance, the lawyers and fruiterer's, real estate agents etc and was wondering if I could ever do something for myself, i.e. I loved that idea of being my own boss and controlling my own destiny.

So... I left my safe secure surveying job and did a 180 degree turn and wanted to get into sales.

For me is wasn't an easy transition, I had to endure an anxiety complex for 6 years because for whatever the reason I had programming issues around sales, like it sounded good and looked good but when push came to shove I was a mess.

After 20 years of job land I started my own contracting and consulting business in commission only sales.

Hmmmm it was tough.

So, I know what it's like to start from scratch from nothing and to have to start again and again, and I know what it's like to feel exasperated with the road ahead.

In the end I created million dollar results in two different disciplines, being direct sales and property which was great BUT then I found myself totally blocked, like I had now made the money but was bored with my day to day activities.

So, again I started a whole new enterprise in the online marketing landscape and discovered how to win again, and win bigger and how to keep that winning energy going.

You can get all the knowledge and all the information you want BUT it ain't going to get you to where you want to go, it's something else, that's why what I teach is so critically important.

The way I see it, the difference between me and almost all the others is that I'm a practioner and not a theorist. Sure I have a range of coaching accreditations but almost anyone can study for a test, become a professor of some sort, in the end it's the doing that counts, it's the experience that's the difference. I have worked intensely with arguably one of the worlds greatest teachers on prosperity. I feel like I have a PhD in life, which stands for Doctor of Philosophy except the PhD I have earned relates to Purpose, Happiness and Discipline.

NOW... it hasn't been all peaches and cream.

My mum died when I was 13.

From around age 25 wanting my own business BUT not knowing anything about business, like, who knows what's going on around here?

Living with a family of alcoholic's.

My daughter at aged 13 was bullied at school and didn't come home that night, the worst night of my life.

My son at age 16 says to me, "I don't want to go to school next year", what would you say?

I've had family members question their sexuality.

I've had family members suffer sexual abuse.

I've had family members end their marriages.

I've had friends who were living with suicidal ideations.

My business at one point had sucked $300,000 in development and learning and what I learnt out of that adversity.

Having family members working through childbirth issues and working with the IVF process.

In the last decade or so having had 10 people close to me die, father, mother in law, father in law , brother, uncle, auntie, biz associate and friends and how I deal with it.

My point here is... I have a rich and deep understanding around how people can solve their problems and get the results they want.

My belief is that, whether you're in a business, want to start a business or are in a job, the reality is we are all in the business of our own lives, we are all the CEO of our own lives, aren't we?

Given todays issues around anxiety and depression, a lot of people are facing all kinds of challenges and therapy is certainly a great place to go, therapy is a start, is a good start but it doesn't address the soul, people need help from other sources to repair that.

Psychology, even if you've studied Psychology, you never really get into the essence of who you really are.

Understanding how the mind functions isn't just for psychologists, it's for everyone, because the mind is in every cell of our body, the mind is movement, and the body is the manifestation of that movement.

Oncologist Dr Deepak Chopra... on a you tube video and talking to Richard Dawkins, Dr Deepak Chopra said it this way... SCIENCE has focused on that which can be observed, PSYCHOLOGY has focused on the process of observation you might say BUT there is no science yet that looks at the observer, who's this person, at least in medical science.

The person we become is of greater value than the material objects or physical skills we acquire.

Who we become is more impactful than the outer show or our bank balance.

To conclude, I have found a lot of people when they get access to our UYP Philosophy, they realise that they have the power, they have the control, they have there own personal power that could really better manage almost any situation there dealing with.

In his book The Power Of Awareness, Neville Goddard says that in giving birth to your ideal, you must bear in mind that the methods of mental and spiritual knowledge are entirely different. This is a point truly understood by probably not more than one person in a million.
