In 2022, I engaged a dishonest builder to complete a floor extension project. After a prolonged and difficult experience, I terminated the contract and removed the builder from the site. The ensuing dispute was settled in the NCAT, with the NCAT rejecting the builder's claim for payment. The builder was not happy with that decision and commenced proceedings in the Local Court. With experience in both law and construction and engineering, the goal was to create a firm that delivers clear, commercially sensible advice tailored to each client’s situation. Starting the firm made it possible to offer more responsive service, build stronger client relationships, and provide legal solutions that consider both the legal and technical sides of a matter.
